ReviewWrisberg variant of the lateral discoid meniscus in children: review of the literature and presentation of case series.
The Wrisberg variant of the discoid lateral meniscus is a very rare disorder and is characterized by the hypermobility and instability of the meniscus caused by the absence of its posterior tibial attachment, with only its meniscofemoral junction (Wrisberg's ligament) maintained, and inserted in the posterior horn of the meniscus. As a result, the posterior horn of the lateral meniscus is mobile; often subluxing into the joint. ⋯ MRI is a valuable tool in the evaluation of the shape, stability, and consistency of symptomatic discoid menisci. It is helpful for the detection of the unstable Wrisberg variant.

Analysis of the effects of intraoperative warming devices on surgical site infection in elective hip arthroplasty using a large nationwide database.
The aim of our study is to analyze the association of usage and type of warming device with the risk of surgical site infection (SSI) in patients who underwent hip arthroplasty, and to analyze the factors that increase the risk of SSI if the warming device is not used. ⋯ The use of intraoperative active warming devices is highly recommended to prevent SSI during elective hip arthroplasty. In particular, male patients younger than 70 years, those with a high CCI, and those undergoing THA are at significantly increased risk of SSI if intraoperative active warming devices are not used. Intraoperative warming device using conduction is likely superior to forced air warming device, but further studies are needed to confirm this.

Review Case ReportsOne-stage anterior cruciate ligament revision surgery after primary failed double-bundle reconstruction: a systematic review.
Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) revision surgery after failed double-bundle (DB) reconstruction is a challenging procedure. This study aimed to systematically review the research on ACL revision surgery following failed DB reconstruction, providing an overview on indications, surgical techniques, clinical outcomes and potential pitfalls occurring while performing this therapeutic approach. ⋯ One-stage ACL revision surgery following DB ACL reconstruction appears feasible providing satisfying outcomes and limited complications. The literature on this subject is limited and further comparative studies reporting long-term outcomes are needed, as high-level studies on this topic are still lacking.

Novel morphogenic knee implant delivers comparable mid-term outcomes as compared to conventional non-morphogenic implants.
Conventional total knee arthroplasty (C-TKA) implants have well-established mid- and long-term outcomes. The novel TKA (N-TKA) implants provide morphogenic implant components with smaller size increments to facilitate anatomical replication. The aim of the study is to evaluate if these advantages provides better clinical outcomes. ⋯ lll.

Medial tibial bone resorption following total knee arthroplasty comparing a traditional with a kinematic design.
New total knee prostheses are being designed to improve clinical outcome, survivorship and patient satisfaction following total knee arthroplasty (TKA). A new knee system was developed with improvements in patellofemoral joint, trochlear geometry, polyethylene formulation and tibial baseplate. Aim of this study was to compare the newer kinematic knee system with its existing predecessor knee system in terms of clinical outcome, revision rates, radiographic outcomes specifically medial tibial bone resorption. ⋯ II.
