Meta AnalysisAnterior versus posterior approach for the therapy of multilevel cervical spondylotic myelopathy: a meta-analysis and systematic review.
The goal of this meta-analysis is to explore the overall efficacy as well as the safety of anterior versus posterior approach for the therapy of patients with multilevel cervical spondylotic myelopathy based on qualified studies. ⋯ Studies found a significant increase of JOA score as well as neurological recovery rate by the anterior approach treatment when compared with posterior approach treatment. However, increased operation time and complications could also occur through the anterior approach treatment. More high-quality randomized controlled trials with larger sample size, multi-centric and longer follow-ups are needed to support our current conclusions.

Meta AnalysisThe ACL-deficient knee and the prevalence of meniscus and cartilage lesions: a systematic review and meta-analysis (CRD42017076897).
The purpose of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to analyze and compare the rate of secondary meniscus and cartilage lesions diagnosed at different time points of ACL reconstruction. ⋯ Chronic instability in the ACL-deficient knee is associated with a significant increase of medial meniscus injuries after 6 months followed by a significant increase of cartilage lesions after 12 months.

Meta Analysis Comparative StudyComparison of infection eradication rate of using articulating spacers containing bio-inert materials versus all-cement articulating spacers in revision of infected TKA: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
To assess the infection eradication rate when using two types of articulating spacers (prosthetic articulating spacers and all-cement articulating spacers) in two-stage revision of infected total knee arthroplasty (TKA). ⋯ Compared to all-cement articulating spacers, articulating spacers containing bio-inert materials have a similar infection control rate but a higher postoperative reinfection rate. Although the 95% CIs of reinfection rates in the two groups overlapped, our results indicate that articulating spacers containing bio-inert materials may be associated with higher reinfection rates and poorer clinical outcomes than all-cement articulating spacers.

Meta AnalysisAccuracy of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for subscapularis tear: a systematic review and meta-analysis of diagnostic studies.
The accuracy of MRI for subscapularis tear is lower than that of overall rotator cuff tears. Until now, no systematic reviews and meta-analysis have been conducted to compile these data. The purpose of this study was to determine, through a systematic review and meta-analysis, the diagnostic accuracy of MRI in the detection of subscapularis tendon tears. ⋯ III, systematic review of Level II and III studies.
