The relationship between ischemic stroke site and occurrence of poststroke epilepsy (PSE) is incompletely understood. This study intended to evaluate incidence and temporal profiles of seizures and to correlate ischemic lesion sites with PSE using voxel-based lesion symptom mapping (VLSM). ⋯ The data indicate that PSE occurs in a small proportion of patients with rather large ischemic strokes predominantly involving the cerebral cortex. Especially patients with ischemic lesions in the temporo-occipital cortex are vulnerable to develop PSE.

Cerebral small vessel disease is a common manifestation among patients with Fabry disease (FD). As a biomarker of cerebral small vessel disease, the prevalence of impaired cerebral autoregulation as assessed by transcranial Doppler (TCD) ultrasonography was evaluated in FD patients and healthy controls. ⋯ Impaired cerebral autoregulation as assessed by TCD appears to be highly more prevalent among FD patients compared to healthy controls.

The risk of symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage (ICH) approaches 5% despite mechanical thrombectomy (MT) efficacy for ischemic stroke secondary to large vessel occlusion. Flat-panel detector CT (FDCT) imaging with Syngo Dyna CT imaging (Siemens Medical Solutions, Malvern, PA) can be used immediately following MT to detect ICH. ⋯ FDCT, such as Dyna CT, immediately post-MT is a promising tool that can expedite the detection of ICH with a high degree of reliability, although the detection of ischemic parenchymal changes is limited.

Neuroimaging features of FOXR2-activated CNS neuroblastoma: A case series and systematic review.
CNS neuroblastoma, FOXR2-activated (CNS NB-FOXR2) is a newly recognized tumor type in the 2021 World Health Organization classification of central nervous system (CNS) tumors. We aimed to investigate the clinical and neuroimaging findings of CNS NB-FOXR2 and systematically review previous publications and three new cases. ⋯ Characteristic imaging features including hyperdense attenuation of the solid components and calcification along the inner rim on CT and susceptibility-weighted imaging may assist with preoperative diagnosis of CNS NB-FOXR2 in pediatric patients.

The lack of a robust diagnostic biomarker makes understanding depression from a neurobiological standpoint an important goal, especially in the context of brain imaging. ⋯ Based on abnormal functional dynamics between brain networks, we were able to identify subjects with depression with high accuracy. The findings of this study contribute to the understanding of the impaired emotional and attention processing associated with depression, as well as decreased motor activity.
