A wide spectrum of pediatric corpus callosal diseases can occur in the pediatric age group. Cross-sectional magnetic resonance imaging plays an important role in the diagnosis of these patients. We reviewed our imaging record and collected cases of corpus callosal pathology. The purpose of this review is to illustrate the imaging features of various corpus callosal lesions encountered in children.

Ectopic pituitary adenoma associated with an empty sella: a case report and review of the literature.
A case of ectopic pituitary adenoma in the sphenoid sinus associated with an empty sella is reported. The coexistence of an ectopic pituitary adenoma and an empty sella is quite rare. ⋯ In the present case, the hypointense line that coated the pituitary gland was clearly demonstrated on 3-tesla T2-weighted magnetic resonance imaging. The hypointense line is considered to be the pituitary capsule and was critical in diagnosing this rare entity.

To evaluate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) features of ruptured spinal dermoid tumors with spread of lipid droplets in the central spinal canal and/or spinal subarachnoid space and to understand the underlying mechanism. ⋯ Spinal dermoid tumors ruptured into central spinal canal and/or spinal subarachnoid space have unique MRI features. The absorption of lipid droplets within central spinal canal is rather difficult, and their movement is extremely slow. We propose that fatty components within the central canal of spinal cord may be partially associated with spinal dermoid tumors developmentally.

To describe a growing number of cases associated with spinal cord and posterior circulation ischemia as a complication of cervical epidural steroid injection (CESI). ⋯ Infarction is a rare but potentially devastating complication of CESI. It may occur despite the use of fluoroscopic guidance.

Perfusion-CT (PCT) of the brain is a rapidly evolving imaging technique used to assess blood supply to the brain parenchyma. PCT is readily available at most imaging centers, resulting in steadily increasing use of this imaging technique. ⋯ Therefore, it is important for the radiologist to recognize altered perfusion patterns observed in diseases other than typical ischemic stroke. The goal of this article is to show the perfusion maps and review the perfusion patterns observed in some subtypes of atypical stroke and in neurological entities other than stroke, so that they are recognized and not confused with the PCT patterns observed in patients with typical ischemic stroke.
