Comparative StudyComparison of intravoxel incoherent motion diffusion-weighted MR imaging with dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI for differentiating lung cancer from benign solitary pulmonary lesions.
To compare intravoxel incoherent motion (IVIM) and pharmacokinetic analysis dynamic contrast-enhanced MR imaging (DCE-MRI) in distinguishing lung cancer (LC) from benign solitary pulmonary lesions (SPL). ⋯ IVIM-derived D and DCE-derived K(trans) are two promising parameters for differentiating LC from benignity.

Apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) measurement in ovarian tumor: Effect of region-of-interest methods on ADC values and diagnostic ability.
To investigate the difference in apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) measurements of differently shaped regions of interest (ROIs) in ovarian tumors, and to investigate the diagnostic ability of differently shaped ROIs in differentiating benign from malignant ovarian tumors. ⋯ The ROI shape influences ADC values and the optimal cutoff ADC values for differentiating benign from malignant ovarian tumors.

Neurovascular uncoupling in resting state fMRI demonstrated in patients with primary brain gliomas.
To demonstrate that the problem of brain tumor-related neurovascular uncoupling (NVU) is a significant issue with respect to resting state blood oxygen level dependent (BOLD) functional MRI (rsfMRI) similar to task-based BOLD fMRI, in which signal detectability can be compromised by breakdown of normal neurovascular coupling. ⋯ We have demonstrated that NVU can result in false negative BOLD signal changes on rsfMRI comparable to previously published findings on standard motor task-based fMRI.

Automatic muscle and fat segmentation in the thigh from T1-Weighted MRI.
To introduce and validate an automatic segmentation method for the discrimination of skeletal muscle (SM), and adipose tissue (AT) components (subcutaneous adipose tissue [SAT] and intermuscular adipose tissue [IMAT]) from T1-weighted (T1 -W) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) images of the thigh. ⋯ The proposed automatic segmentation approach provides adequate thigh tissue segmentation and may be helpful in studies of regional composition.

Observational StudyClinical safety of an MRI conditional implantable cardioverter defibrillator system: A prospective Monocenter ICD-Magnetic resonance Imaging feasibility study (MIMI).
The aim of this study was to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the Lumax 740(®) Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) system in patients undergoing a defined 1.5 Tesla (T) MRI. ⋯ MRI scans in patients with MRI conditional ICD system (Lumax 740(®) ) are feasible and can be performed safely under defined conditions in a hospital setting.
