To discover people's nutritional habits and their distance from the Mediterranean diet. ⋯ The population studied consumed an excessive amount of food with high contents of saturated fat, especially young people. There is a deficit in the intake of slowly absorbed carbohydrates and a less than ideal consumption of fruit, green vegetables and root vegetables, which was more marked among the young. The consumption of milk products was below the recommended amount. Pulses, fish and white meat were close to the right levels. This pattern is far from ideal and leads to higher risk of prevalent chronic illnesses.

To determine if recurrent community acquired pneumonia (RP) is a risk factor for developing childhood asthma (CA), compared with those children who only suffer one episode of pneumonia or non-recurrent pneumonia (NRP). To determine if patients with CA are more disposed to suffer RP. ⋯ A special follow-up needs to be carried out on all children diagnosed with RP in primary care, since the possibility of presenting with CA is higher in these cases.

To find the problems, as seen by family doctors, in care for immigrants, with description of proposed solutions. ⋯ The difficulties sustained by a broad range of professionals are diverse, with access and linguistic-cultural questions standing out. To palliate them, sensitivity from health staff and action from management are needed.
