Multicenter Study Comparative Study
[Comparative study at 4 health centres of efficiency, measured on the basis of ambulatory care groups].
To measure efficiency in the use of resources for the care lists of four primary care centres (PCC), by using ambulatory care Groups (ACGs). ⋯ The ACGs enabled us to estimate the efficiency of our PCCs and care lists. Efficiency cannot be isolated from other dimensions of the quality of health care delivery. Study of the EI improved our understanding of the profile of professionals and health centres.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter Study Comparative Study
[Efficacy of respiratory rehabilitation on patients with moderate COPD in primary care and maintenance of benefits at 2 years].
To assess the efficacy of a pulmonary rehabilitation programme lasting 24 months and carried out at primary care health centres in improving the quality of life of patients with moderate COPD, compared with a programme of 12 weeks pulmonary rehabilitation with the usual care. Secondary aims include the assessment of the effects of the programme on dyspnoea, exercise capacity, reduction of crises, hospital admissions and length of time in hospital. ⋯ Quality of life with the Chronic Respiratory Questionnaire, 6-minute walking test, Borg Dyspnoea Scale, Medical Research Council Dyspnoea Score, Lung Function Tests, and intervention group.

Multicenter Study
[Study of the Information requirements generated by primary care doctors (ENIGMA Project)].
To determine the information needs of primary care physicians by identifying the frequency and type of questions arising during consultation, and by describing the information-search pattern. DESIGN. Observational, descriptive, multi-centre study. ⋯ Primary care physicians tried to resolve less than two-thirds of the questions asked, and mainly did so through readily available printed material. Better methods are needed to provide answers to questions that arise in clinical practice.
