The phenomenon of adherence to treatment is a motive of worry from the scientific community, since it is considered as a worldwide problem of high magnitude. The implications are of great relevance in morbidity, mortality, in the significant increase in the consumption of health care and in the costs to the health system, particularly in patients with ischemic heart disease. We intend to evaluate adherence to treatment and relate beliefs about medicines with adherence to treatment. ⋯ The results are consistent with previous studies in which individuals with lower beliefs in specific concerns reported higher rates of adherence to medication.

To identify nurses perceptions of Advance Directives (AD) and to analyse the influence of experience with AD on their perception. ⋯ Nurses have little experience with AD. They are available to respect the patient's will but did not feel able to address the issue on their own initiative. Most agree that the AD can "fail" if the patient does not reevaluate it periodically. Reflection and debate on the ethical issues surrounding AD should be promoted: promoting patient autonomy, care in vulnerable situations, team decisions and conscientious objection.

Adolescents go through a phase characterised by physical, mental, psychological and social changes which justify periods of hostile behaviours. The occurrence and intensity of these behaviours may correspond to a psychopathological condition that will affect their future lives. The aim of this research is to identify the socio-demographic and family background variables that influence hostile behaviours in adolescents and to analyse the influence of depression and anxiety in hostile behaviours in adolescents. ⋯ We may conclude that only depression has a relationship with hostile behaviours. It is higher in adolescents with these behaviours. The presence or absence of anxiety is not related to the hostile behaviour in adolescents.
