To retrospectively assess the safety and efficacy of percutaneous vertebroplasty (PVP) for painful osteolytic spinal metastases when treating more than three vertebrae per session. ⋯ • Percutaneous vertebroplasty is safe and effective for painful osteolytic spinal metastases. • Multilevel vertebroplasty does not cause more complications than single-level vertebroplasty. • Multiple spinal metastases patients may regain functional independence after multilevel vertebroplasty.

To investigate the value of 'swallow-tail' sign and putaminal hypointensity on 3 T susceptibility-weighted imaging (SWI) for distinguishing multiple system atrophy (MSA) from idiopathic Parkinson's disease (IPD). ⋯ • Differential diagnosis of MSA and IPD is still challenging in clinical practice. • Absence of 'swallow-tail' sign is a valuable biomarker for IPD on SWI. • Putaminal hypointensity is a valuable biomarker for MSA on SWI. • Combined 'swallow- tail' sign and putaminal hypointensity increase diagnostic accuracy.

To evaluate the diagnostic value of the T1 bright appendix sign for the diagnosis of acute appendicitis in pregnant women. ⋯ • Magnetic resonance imaging is increasingly used in emergency settings. • Acute appendicitis is the most common cause of acute abdomen. • Magnetic resonance imaging is widely used in pregnant population. • T1 bright appendix sign can be a specific sign representing normal appendix.

To evaluate the complication rates and describe the possible complications of ultrasonography-guided radiofrequency ablation (RFA) of benign thyroid nodules (BTN) and recurrent thyroid cancers (RTC), and to compare the complication rates between BTN and RTC. ⋯ • The overall complication rate was 3.5% (31/875). • The major complication rate was 1.6% (14/875). • The major complication rate of RTC was significantly higher than BTN. • There were only four patients showing persistent symptoms (0.5%). • Unreported new complications were also demonstrated.

Review Meta Analysis
Treatment of cerebral vasospasm following aneurysmal subarachnoid haemorrhage: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
To examine the clinical outcome of aneurysmal subarachnoid haemorrhage (aSAH) patients exposed to cerebral vasospasm (CVS)-targeted treatments in a meta-analysis and to evaluate the efficacy of intra-arterial (IA) approaches in patients with severe/refractory vasospasm. ⋯ • 33.7% of patients with cerebral Vasospasm following aneurysmal subarachnoid-hemorrhage have an unfavorable outcome. • Refractory vasospasm patients treated using endovascular interventions have lower relative risk of unfavourable outcome. • Subarachnoid haemorrhage patients with severe vasospasm may benefit from endovascular interventions. • The relative risk of unfavourable outcome is lower in patients treated with Cilostazol.
