In long bones, cementoplasty alone does not provide sufficient stability, which may cause secondary fractures. This study reviewed the safety and efficacy of reinforced cementoplasty (RC) (percutaneous internal fixation using dedicated spindles combined with cementoplasty) for unstable malignant lesions of the cervicotrochanteric region (CTR) of the proximal femur. ⋯ • Reinforced cementoplasty (RC) combines intralesional spindling with cementoplasty. • RC provides effective bone stability and pain relief. • RC is a suitable minimally invasive option for patients in poor general condition.

To develop and validate a volume-based, quantitative imaging marker by integrating multi-parametric MR images for predicting glioblastoma survival, and to investigate its relationship and synergy with molecular characteristics. ⋯ • High-risk volume (HRV) defined on multi-parametric MRI predicted GBM survival. • The proneural molecular subtype tended to harbour smaller HRV than other subtypes. • Patients with unmethylated MGMT and high HRV had significantly shorter survival. • HRV complements genomic information in predicting GBM survival.

To develop a prediction model to distinguish between transition zone (TZ) cancers and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) on multi-parametric prostate magnetic resonance imaging (mp-MRI). ⋯ • It is difficult to diagnose transition zone (TZ) cancer. • We performed quantitative image analysis in multi-parametric MRI. • Standardized-T2WI and mean-ADC were independent factors for diagnosing TZ cancer. • We developed logistic-regression analysis to diagnose TZ cancer accurately. • The performance of the logistic-regression analysis was higher than PIRADSv2.
