Randomized Controlled TrialThe 6-m timed hop test is a prognostic factor for outcomes in patients with meniscal tears treated with exercise therapy or arthroscopic partial meniscectomy: a secondary, exploratory analysis of the Odense-Oslo meniscectomy versus exercise (OMEX) trial.
To identify the prognostic factors for 2-year patient-reported outcomes in middle-aged patients with degenerative meniscal tears treated with exercise therapy (ET) or arthroscopic partial meniscectomy (APM). ⋯ II.

Randomized Controlled TrialLateral retinacular release is not recommended in association to MPFL reconstruction in recurrent patellar dislocation.
Reconstruction of the medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL) has become the gold standard for the treatment of the recurrent patellar dislocation (RPD). Lateral retinacular release can be performed in association with MPFL reconstruction, but the effect on outcomes is not clear. To evaluate the effect of lateral release on outcomes following MPFL reconstruction is the aim of this study. It is hypothesized that isolated MPFL reconstruction was not inferior to MPFL reconstruction and lateral retinacular release in terms of IKDC subjective score and patellar tilt (PT). ⋯ II.

ReviewRecognition of evolving medial patellofemoral anatomy provides insight for reconstruction.
The scientific literature concerning the anatomy of medial soft-tissue stabilizers of the patella is growing exponentially. Much of the surgical literature has focused on the role of the medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL) and techniques to reconstruct it, yet our understanding of its anatomy has evolved during the past several years. Given this, we report on the current understanding of medial patellofemoral anatomy and implications for reconstruction. ⋯ V.

Reconstruction of the medial patellofemoral ligament and reinforcement of the medial patellotibial ligament is an effective treatment for patellofemoral instability with patella alta.
To evaluate the clinical outcome of the combined reconstruction of the medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL) and medial patellotibial ligament (MPTL) for patellar instability with patella alta. ⋯ Case series, Level IV.
