Case ReportsRecurrent Eccrine Acrospiroma of the Parotid Region: A Case Report.
Eccrine acrospiroma is a benign tumor of skin and adnexa arising from eccrine sweat gland epithelium. It is usually solitary, slow growing tumor commonly affecting extremities. Rarely it affects head and neck region, and extremely rare in parotid region. ⋯ Treatment of choice is wide local excision with adequate skin margins. Although benign this tumor is very notorious for recurrence after inadequate resection. We describe here a case of young male patient with recurrent eccrine acrospiroma over parotid region which was managed by wide local excision with primary repair with excellent results.

C-reactive Protein to Albumin Ratio among Patients Admitted to Intensive Care Unit of a Tertiary Care Hospital: A Descriptive Crosssectional Study.
Sepsis is the most common cause of mortality among patients admitted to intensive care unit. There is emerging evidence on the role of C-reactive protein to albumin ratio (C-reactive protein/Albumin) in predicting outcomes in patients with critical illness and sepsis, admitted to intensive care unit. We aimed to find out the median value of C-reactive protein/Albumin ratio among patients admitted to intensive care unit of a tertiary care hospital. ⋯ Our study showed higher median C-reactive protein /Albumin similar to other studies. Sepsis is a common finding among patients admitted to intensive care unit. Monitoring of C-reactive protein/albumin level in a patient admitted to intensive care unit could be useful for stratifying patients with a high risk of developing sepsis.

Dural Venous Sinus Thrombosis is the formation of blood clot within the cerebral sinus. It is very rare case with varying clinical presentation. It has non-specific signs and symptoms ranging from headache, papilledema, seizures, focal neurological deficits and mental state changes which is caused by genetic and acquired prothrombotic states, infections, inflammatory disease and trauma. ⋯ We have described a case of a patient who presented with headache over the temporal and occipital region and was disoriented. The Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Magnetic Resonance Venography report revealed presence of thrombus in the transverse and sigmoid sinus with hemorrhagic infarcts. He was then treated with anticoagulants Low Molecular Weight Heparin which was further substituted by Warfarin.

Impacted Canine in Orthodontic Patients of a Tertiary Care Hospital: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Impacted canine is a frequently encountered clinical problem during orthodontic practice with different prevalence in each region. Treatment usually requires an interdisciplinary approach which is difficult and time consuming. Surgical exposure of the impacted tooth and the complex orthodontic mechanisms are used to align the tooth into the arch. This study was designed to find out the prevalence of impacted canine in orthodontic patients. ⋯ The overall prevalence of impacted canines was found lower than previous studies done in similar settings. Large number of patients had buccal impaction compared to palatal impaction.
