Case ReportsPrimary adrenal lymphoma presenting as Addison's disease. Case report and review of the literature.
Primary Adrenal Lymphoma (PAL) is a very rare clinical entity. Adrenal insufficiency is a common complication of this pathology. Most patients present with clinical and laboratory findings of adrenal insufficiency and bilateral enlargement of the adrenal glands. ⋯ Computerized tomography (CT) of the abdomen revealed bilateral enlargement of the adrenal glands. The patient was eventually diagnosed with a diffuse large B-cell lymphoma after a CT-guided needle adrenal biopsy and treated with combined immuno-chemotherapy (R-LPD-COP). Twenty months after the initial evaluation, she is in good condition, with no signs of adrenal insufficiency.
