Observational StudyCytogenetic Abnormalities and Their Impact on Treatment Outcome in Paediatric Acute Myeloid Leukaemia in Pakistan.
To determine the impact of cytogenetic abnormalities on the treatment outcome of paediatric acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) at a tertiary care facility of Pakistan. ⋯ Identification of cytogenetic aberrations at diagnosis will help in risk stratification and predicting prognosis in AML. This will further assist in improving treatment strategies for different cytogenetic risk groups. Key Words: Paediatric acute myeloid leukaemia, Cytogenetics, Treatment outcome.

Review Meta AnalysisEffects of Mode and Duration of Exercises on Fat Mass of Obese Population.
A meta-analysis was performed to determine impact of resistance and aerobic exercise on body fat of obese population. Database of Google Scholar, BioMed Central, and Medline was reconnoitered for the purpose of research article of interest. Inclusion criteria encompass all those studies in which effects of aerobic and resistance exercise were determined on body fat mass of obese participants. ⋯ Results revealed that resistance exercise had a mild pool affect in increasing weight of participants with an effect size (SMD) of 0.26 (95% of CI -0.09 to 0.63) calculated at random effect model, I2 83.80% (95% of CI 71.76 to 90.71) in comparison to aerobic exercises performed during the duration of two to eight weeks of training protocol. The meta-analysis concluded that resistance exercises had a mild pool effect in increasing the weight of the participants in comparison to aerobic exercises. Key Words: Aerobic exercises, Resistance exercises, Obesity, Fat mass, Body fat index and body fat composition.

Meta AnalysisEffect of General and Non-general Anesthesia on Postoperative Cognitive Dysfunction.
ABATRACT Controversy exists in the effect of general anesthesia and non-general anesthesia on postoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD). The authors aimed to perform this systematic review to comprehensively assess the effect of general anesthesia or non-general anesthesia on POCD. Relative studies from the online literature database were retrieved. ⋯ In conclusion, when compared with the non-general anesthesia, general anesthesia increases the incidence of POCD in patients within three days after surgery, but makes no difference after seven days. It suggests that early intervention should be conducted on patients undergoing general anesthesia. Key Words: General anesthesia, Postoperative cognitive dysfunction, Meta-analysis.

To determine whether there is a relationship between endometrium cancer and the oncoprotein cancerous inhibitor of protein phosphatase 2A (CIP2A). ⋯ CIP2A could be a promising and therapeutic target in endometrium cancer. Invention of the complex connections of CIP2A with other oncoproteins may lead to amazing and interesting developments in both early diagnosis and treatment. Key Words: CIP2A, Endometrium cancer, Expression, Oncoprotein.
