Neurological Outcomes of Normothermia versus Targeted Temperature Management in Post-cardiac Arrest Syndrome.
To determine the neurological outcome of targeted temperature management (TTM)for patients scoring lower than 8 on the Glasgow coma scale (GCS) upon return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) after cardiac arrest. ⋯ Neurological results were better in the TTM group of patients with ROSC. However, there was no significant difference in mortality between the TTMand non-TTM groups. Key Words: Targeted temperature management, Cardiac arrest, Neurological outcome, Cerebral performance category.

Observational StudyCorrelation of the Radiological Emphysema Score of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Patients with Clinic Parameters.
To evaluate the association between the degree of emphysema on computed tomography (CT) images and disease severity, in order to predict the clinical characteristics of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). ⋯ CT-emphysema severity can be used to classify COPD to assist in the clinical characterisation of patients. This type of classification is important to determine the underlying pathophysiology and genomic profile of COPD. Key Words: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, Computed tomography, Emphysema.

Expressions of Putative Cancer Stem Cell Markers, CD44 and CD133, are Correlated with Pathological Tumour Stage in Gastric Adenocarcinoma.
To analyse partial and total gastrectomy specimen in items of immunohistochemical staining of the stem cell CD44 and CD133; and to determine their relationship to pathological stage, other clinicopathological prognostic parameters, and their predictive value. ⋯ Although CD44 is regarded to be associated with more prognostic parameters compared to CD133, both immunohistochemical stains were shown to be related to pathological stage. Thus, these may be guiding for determining the tumour depth. Key Words: Gastric adenocarcinoma, CD44, CD133, Stem cell marker, Prognosis.

Controlled Clinical TrialComparing the Efficacy of Patelet-rich Plasma (PRP) versus Tranexamic Acid (4mg/mL) as Intradermal Treatments of Melasma.
To compare the efficacy of intradermal platelet-rich-plasma vs. intradermal tranexamic acid in treatment of melasma. ⋯ Intradermal PRP is significantly better than intradermal tranexamic acid in management of melasma. Key Words: Melasma, Tranexamic acid, PRP, MASI.
