Case ReportsRenal Clear Cell Carcinoma with Unknown Primary: Is It Real Entity or Just Hypothesis?
Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is a common type of cancer, and about 25% of patients are diagnosed at an advanced stage. Bone metastasis is common in RCC, but instances of bone metastases without a primary kidney tumour have rarely been reported. Here, we report a case of a 56-year male patient who presented with extensive bone metastases. ⋯ In the literature, primary unrecognised RCC cases are found only as case reports. This case highlights the importance of clinicians' consideration of possible metastatic RCC in a patient with pathologically diagnosed clear cell carcinoma, even if no primary renal tumour is identified. Key Words: Renal cell carcinoma, İmmunohistochemistry, Diagnosis, Kidney, Cancer.

Case ReportsOsteoporotic Vertebral Fracture Misdiagnosed as Metastatic Vertebral Fracture.
The purpose of this study was to report a patient with osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture (OVCF) which was misdiagnosed as metastatic vertebral compression fracture (MVCF). A 64-year male was admitted to our clinic for complaints of numbness, pain, and activity limitation in bilateral lower extremities. One year ago, he had a medical history of lung adenocarcinoma and bone metastasis. ⋯ It is important to differentiate OVCF from MVCF by clinical symptoms, laboratory examination, and imaging features before operation. Histological findings are the gold standard for accurate diagnosis. Key Words: Osteoporosis, Vertebral fracture, Metastasis.

Case ReportsThymic Seminoma with Regressive Changes Obscured by Granulomatous Reaction.
Primary thymic seminoma is an exceedingly rare tumour. There are few case reports about mediastinal thymic seminoma accompanied by secondary changes. We report a case of a 29-year male admitted to our hospital because of chest pain and dyspnea for 8 months. ⋯ High level of suspicion is necessary to identify seminomas in a thymic lesion accompanied by secondary changes. Excluding the possibility of metastasis from testicular seminoma is very important before making this diagnosis. Key Words: Thymus, Seminoma, Granuloma, Calcification, Cyst.

The present article aimed to give an overview of sternal fractures and discuss their management and prognoses. The retrieved pertinent publications of 2011-2021 constituted the materials of the present study. The misdiagnosis rate of X-ray was 5.5% and that of sonography was 6.3% for diagnosing the sternal fractures. ⋯ Intrathoracic injuries, especially life-threatening cardiopulmonary injuries that are complicated to sternal fractures warrant resuscitation and corresponding active treatment. The causes of patients' death with sternal fractures were usually not related to the sternum fracture itself, but mostly to the associated injuries. Key Words: Fracture, Sternum, Trauma.
