Clinical features and outcomes of adults with COVID-19: A systematic review and pooled analysis of the literature.
The 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has become a global pandemic and the published literature describing the virus has grown exponentially. ⋯ COVID-19 most commonly presents with fever, cough, fatigue and anorexia and among patients with existing hypertension and cardiovascular disease. It is important as serious adverse outcomes can develop such as acute respiratory distress syndrome, acute cardiac injury, acute kidney injury and death.

HALP Score and Albumin Levels in Men with Prostate Cancer and Benign Prostate Hyperplasia.
To evaluate the diagnostic significance of the novel index combining preoperative haemoglobin, albumin levels, lymphocyte and platelet counts (HALP) in prostate cancer (PCa) patients. ⋯ Further prospective clinical studies that include more patients from multiple centres are needed to show the diagnostic role of the HALP score and its compounds on the patients with PCa.

Neutrophil-Lymphocyte and Platelet-Lymphocyte Ratios in Otitis Media with Effusion in Children: diagnostic role and audiologic correlations.
To investigate the relationship between hearing loss and complete blood count parameters including neutrophil, lymphocyte, platelet (PLT), mean platelet volume (MPV), neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) in children with otitis media with effusion (OME). ⋯ The present study revealed that NLR and PLR values were valuable parameters in the diagnosis of serous OME and predicting a hearing loss. These parameters may provide additional information to the audiogram that could influence the therapeutic decision.

The Use of Computed Tomography as the First Imaging Modality in Patients with Renal Colic and Microscopic Hematuria.
We aimed to evaluate the use of computed tomography (CT) as the first imaging modality in patients with renal colic and microscopic haematuria. ⋯ Because of its high sensitivity and specificity values in the diagnosis of stone disease, easy applicability and fast results, CT can be safely used as the first imaging modality for the diagnosis of renal colic and microscopic haematuria.

Outcomes of high dose therapy and autologous haematopoietic stem cell transplantation for non-hodgkin lymphoma: A retrospective analysis in a resource-limited country.
To retrospectively report the clinical outcomes of non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma (NHL) patients post high dose therapy (HDT) with autologous haematopoietic stem cell transplant (AHSCT) and determine whether upfront transplant, which is a first-line consolidative treatment with induction chemotherapy, would be a feasible modality in a resource-limited country. ⋯ Our study illustrates the promising outcomes of HDT with AHSCT in NHL patients in a resource-limited country. We recommend larger studies to be conducted in the future with a longer duration of follow-up to validate our findings.
