Randomized Controlled TrialComparison of External Jugular Vein based surface landmark approach and Ultrasound guided approach for Internal Jugular Venous cannulation: A randomized cross over clinical trial.
Historically, landmark techniques for central venous access through the internal jugular vein (IJV) have yielded a lesser success rate and higher complication rate than the ultrasound (US)-guided approach. The purpose of this study is to assess the success and safety of a novel external jugular vein (EJV)-based landmark (EJV-LM) approach compared with the real-time US-guided approach for central venous access through the IJV. ⋯ In patients with non-distorted neck anatomy and a visible EJV, IJV catheterisation using the EJV-based LM approach and standard US-guided technique yielded similar first-attempt and overall success rates. Cannulation time was longer and complications occurred more frequently in the EJV-based LM compared with the standard US-guided technique.

Easily accessible, up-to-date and standardized training model in Urology: E-Learning Residency training program (ERTP).
There is no standardised and up-to-date education model for urology residents in our country. We aimed to describe our National E-learning education model for urology residents. ⋯ As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, most of the educational programmes had to move online platforms. We used this reliable and easily accessible e-learning platform for the standardisation of training in urology on national basis. We aim to share this model with international residency training programmes.

The potential benefit of continuous metered-dose inhaler inhalation technique verbal counselling on asthmatic.
Subjects' improper usage of their metered-dose inhalers (MDI) is considered a chief cause of poor asthma control. The work presented here aims to evaluate the effect of MDI verbal counselling on subjects' lung function and inhalation technique. ⋯ MDI's counselling must be continually offered to the asthmatic subject at any possible chance to improve and sustain the optimal MDI inhalation technique and probably improve subjects' lung function score.

Randomized Controlled TrialErector spinae plane block vs. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs for severe renal colic pain: a pilot clinical feasibility study.
Ultrasound-guided plane blocks are increasingly used in the multi-modal analgesic concept for reducing opioid consumption. The present study was conducted to compare the analgesic effect of intravenous non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and erector spinae plane (ESP) block in renal colic patients. ⋯ ESP block can be an alternative, efficient and safe method for the relief of acute renal colic pain.

Multicenter StudyMechanisms and grading of nocturia: Results from a multicenter prospective study.
To identify the pathophysiological mechanisms of nocturia and the correlation of these mechanisms with nocturia severity. ⋯ Nocturia mechanisms may vary between mild and moderate to severe nocturia groups according to the present study. Nocturia grading with identification of subtypes may help for better standardisation of the diagnostic and treatment approaches as well as for the design of future clinical trials.
