A Nationwide Survey on the Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic on Minimal Invasive Surgery in Urology Practice.
The beta-coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has changed the clinical approach of 93% of urologists worldwide, and this situation has affected the use of laparoscopic and robot-assisted laparoscopic methods, which are known as minimally invasive surgery (MIS). This study aimed to determine the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on MIS in urology practice at national level. ⋯ Although the number of operations has decreased during the ongoing pandemic, MIS is a method that can be preferred due to its limited contamination and mortality in urology practice provided that safety measures are taken and guideline recommendations are followed.

Endocrine, sexual and reproductive functions in patients with Klinefelter Syndrome compared to non-obstructive azoospermic patients.
We aimed to investigate fertilisation rates, quality of embryo, pregnancy and live birth rates, endocrine, sexual function, psychological status and quality of life of cases diagnosed with Klinefelter syndrome (KS). ⋯ Higher sperm retrieval rate has been achieved in Group 1 younger than 31.5 years. Similar embryo quality is provided between groups. Sexual dysfunction and psychiatric problems were higher in Group 1, with lower satisfaction and general health than Group 2. Patients with KS should be monitored not only with their reproductive functions but also with their general health status.

Circulating CD15+ LOX-1+ PMN-MDSCs are a potential biomarker for the early diagnosis of non-small cell lung cancer.
Non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is the most common clinical lung cancer. Polymorphonuclear-myeloid derived suppressor cells (PMN-MDSCs), which are the major population of MDSCs, are involved in NSCLC progression. Recently, it was found that lectin-type oxidized LDL receptor 1 (LOX-1) could identify human PMN-MDSCs. However, the role of CD15+ LOX-1+ PMN-MDSCs in NSCLC early diagnosis has not been revealed. Here, we tried to confirm the application of the newly identified CD15+ LOX-1+ PMN-MDSCs in the early diagnosis of NSCLC. ⋯ Circulating CD15+ LOX-1+ PMN-MDSCs are a potential diagnostic marker for NSCLC, and are associated with NSCLC prognosis and recurrence after surgery.

Dissemination of generic drug (GD) use could provide significant savings on drug expenditures and contribute to the long-term sustainability of healthcare. We aimed to exhibit the nationwide trend of GD use in primary care and investigate potentially relevant drug and patient factors. ⋯ This study shows a modest upward trend of GD utilisation in primary care, though its share appears to be lower than expected. GD use revealed a consistent reduction towards older age groups. GDs were more likely to be prescribed for acute conditions, particularly infectious diseases.
