The effect of the first wave of COVID-19 pandemic on urology practice and anxiety scores of patients awaiting surgery.
We aimed to determine the effect COVID-19 pandemic on the daily urology practice of the level 3 centre located in one of the most affected regions in Turkey. We also aimed to assess anxiety and depression levels of patients whose procedures and surgeries had to be postponed due to COVID-19-related restrictions. ⋯ We noted that anxiety and depression levels increased in patients whose operations were delayed because of pandemic-related restrictions, especially in oncological patients. We believe that an important contribution can be made to the protection of public health by planning advance psychosocial interventions for high-risk groups during pandemics.

Medication adherence, recall periods and factors affecting it: A community-based assessment on patients with chronic diseases in urban slums.
To evaluate medication adherence, the effect of recall periods on self-reported adherence and factors influencing medication adherence among patients of chronic diseases, such as hypertension and diabetes, particularly in the community. ⋯ Overall, medication adherence was sub-optimal. Adherence assessments can be reliably performed using either one week or one month recall periods. With further refinement and validation, the regression equation could prove to be a useful tool for physicians.

Pelvic Floor Muscle Dysfunctions in Women with Deep Infiltrative Endometriosis: An Underestimated Association.
Deep infiltrative endometriosis (DIE) may cause pelvic pain and thus negatively affect the function of different structures. We hypothesised that women with DIE may have dysfunctions of the pelvic floor muscles (PFMs) and lower limb muscles (LLMs). ⋯ Women with DIE exhibited a greater number of pelvic symptoms and greater PFM/LLM dysfunction than those in the control group. Pain was associated with PFM hypertonia and difficulty in PFM relaxation.

Can Preoperative Axillary Ultrasound and Biopsy of Suspicious Lymph Nodes Be An Alternative To Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy in Clinical Node Negative Early Breast Cancer?
The aim of this study was to assess the efficacy of preoperative axillary ultrasonography (AUS) and preoperative axillary fine-needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) from suspicious lymph nodes in clinically node-negative breast cancer to compare with radiologically positive and sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) positive involvement. ⋯ It was concluded that axillary AUS-FNAB with its high NPV, low FN rate, may be a clinical alternative to SLNB for early-stage breast cancer patients.

Can robot-assisted kidney transplantation provide higher quality of life than open kidney transplantation during the early postoperative period?
Purpose of this study is to investigate the quality of life (QoL) in patients with end-stage renal disease who underwent open or robot-assisted kidney transplantation (OKT and RAKT). ⋯ Patients who underwent RAKT have a higher QoL than the patients who were treated with OKT as per their self-reported QoL scores in the early postoperative period.
