Multicenter Study Observational Study
Incorporation of apical lymph node status into the seventh edition of the TNM classification improves prediction of prognosis in stage III colonic cancer.
The node classification outlined in the seventh edition of the TNM classification is based solely on the number of metastasized lymph nodes. This study examined the prognostic value of apical lymph node (ALN) metastasis and the additional value of incorporating ALN status into a risk model based on the seventh edition. ⋯ Assessment of ALN metastasis provided independent prognostic information beyond that achievable with the seventh edition of the TNM classification in patients with stage III colonic cancer.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter Study Comparative Study
Randomized clinical trial of endovenous laser ablation versus steam ablation (LAST trial) for great saphenous varicose veins.
The aim was to compare endovenous laser ablation (EVLA) and endovenous steam ablation (EVSA) for great saphenous varicose veins in a non-inferiority study. ⋯ The 1-year treatment success of high-dose EVSA was not inferior to that of EVLA. Several secondary outcomes were in favour of EVSA. Registration number NCT02046967 (http://www.clinicaltrials.gov).

Multicenter Study
Outcome and complications after intra-arterial thrombolysis for lower limb ischaemia with or without continuous heparin infusion.
Thrombolysis is a common treatment for acute leg ischaemia. The purpose of this study was to evaluate different thrombolytic treatment strategies, and risk factors for complications. ⋯ Both treatment strategies were successful in achieving revascularization with acceptable complication rates. Continuous heparin infusion during intra-arterial thrombolysis appeared to offer no advantage.
