Review Meta Analysis
A Systematic Review of Chiari I Malformation: Techniques and Outcomes.
To elucidate the most efficacious treatments of Chiari I malformation (CIM). ⋯ Only bony decompression cannot achieve satisfactory outcomes. Bony decompression plus duroplasty showed the most favorable outcomes. Resection of tonsils was not recommended because of the high rate of side effects. Shunt may aggregate clinical signs and symptoms and increase the size of cavities.

Randomized Controlled Trial
Parametric digital subtraction angiography imaging for the objective grading of collateral flow in acute middle cerebral artery occlusion.
To report the feasibility of parametric color-coded digital subtraction angiography (DSA) in complementing the traditional, subjective way of leptomeningeal collateral assessment in acute middle cerebral artery (MCA) occlusions. ⋯ The relative maximum contrast density of MCA territory on 2-dimensional DSA measured by parametric imaging technique appears to be a simple and reliable metric for the assessment of leptomeningeal collaterals in cases of acute MCA occlusion.

Historical Landmarks in the Management of Aneurysms and Arterio-Venous Malformations of the Central Nervous System.
To describe the history of vascular and endovascular neurosurgery. ⋯ Numerous pioneers have been described through this historical reconstruction. Their genius, effort, dedication, and passion brought a massive contribution to vascular and endovascular neurosurgery as we know it today.

Post-traumatic bilateral epidural hygroma of posterior cranial fossa: case report and brief review of literature.
Posttraumatic posterior fossa epidural hygroma is a rare entity, and a clear management has not been established in the medical literature. We present 1 case and review the literature relevant to this unusual entity. The mechanism of formation and management of posterior cranial fossa epidural hygroma are also outlined. ⋯ It is imperative to consider epidural hygroma in very small children presenting with occipital injury. As a result of loose adhesion of dura mater and internal cranial lamina layers in younger pediatric patients, potential epidural space may be easily created secondary to injury, and small breaches in meningeal integrity near the cisterna magna may favor cerebrospinal fluid leak. During surgery, if watertight repair of a visible dural tear is performed, duro-periosteal hitching or vacuum drain placement may not be required.

ALK-negative anaplastic large-cell lymphoma presenting as a scalp hematoma after an acute head injury-A case report and literature review.
Anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL) is a malignant non-Hodgkin lymphoma, typically associated with anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) expression. In some cases, lack of ALK translocation correlated with a more unfavorable prognosis. ⋯ This case report highlights the importance of recognizing the possibility of an ALCL manifesting as a focal inflammatory swelling mass on the scalp.
