Polymorphous low-grade neuroepithelial tumor of the young: a case report with genomic findings.
Polymorphous low-grade neuroepithelial tumor of the young (PLNTY) is a recently recognized epileptogenic neuroepithelial tumor. Despite its distinctiveness, its polymorphous histology and the nature of its oligodendrocyte-like cells remain unclear. ⋯ The correct diagnosis of PLNTY and its distinction from closely resembling low-grade neuroepithelial tumors is important. We hope our proposed diagnostic features will aid in its proper diagnosis and management.

The rosette-forming glioneuronal tumor (RGNT) is a rare World Health Organization grade I tumor, most often originating in the fourth ventricle and characterized by a predominant glial component, as well as a neurocytic component. Despite its benign grading, there are a few documented cases of RGNT displaying more aggressive behavior with malignant characteristics. ⋯ This case supplements and complements the handful of published cases available documenting the evolution of a particularly aggressive case of disseminated RGNT.

To decrease vehicular traffic in major metropolitan cities throughout the United States, multiple ridesharing companies have launched dockless electric scooters and bicycles throughout cities. From September 2017 through November 2018, Washington, DC, launched a 15-month dockless vehicle pilot program to allow for the rapid entry and growth of electric scooters within the metropolitan area. This rapid growth resulted in a number of minor and significant injuries. ⋯ In this case series, we highlight more severe injuries that resulted in hospitalization or intervention, including skull fracture, central cord syndrome, and vertebral compression fracture. This case series aims to illustrate the potential severity of injuries related to electric scooters, raise awareness on the issues of safety and public health, and call for further investigation into injuries relating to electric scooters.

In this video, we demonstrate a case of a 21-year-old right-handed man who presented with palmar hyperhidrosis. His symptoms started at the age of 4 years and progressively worsened throughout his life. Multiple medical treatments were used without significant benefit. ⋯ A chest radiograph was obtained intraoperatively, and no pneumothorax was observed. At the end of the procedure, both upper extremity temperature probes showed a significant increase from baseline. Informed patient consent was obtained.

We present a case of a concurrent rupture of a middle cerebral artery (MCA) aneurysm and thrombosis of the associated vessel. ⋯ In extremely rare cases of aneurysm rupture and subsequent thrombosis of the associated vessel, a 2-stage approach seems to be feasible. In the present case, initial surgical securing of the aneurysm followed by endovascular recanalization of the occluded vessel provided good results.
