Ticagrelor versus Clopidogrel in Endovascular therapy for Cerebral Aneurysms: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis.
Antiplatelet therapy is pivotal in endovascular treatment for intracranial aneurysms. However, there is a lack of studies comparing ticagrelor to clopidogrel in patients with aneurysms undergoing endovascular therapy. Additionally, the existing literature lacks adequate sample size, significant subgrouping, and follow-up, making our study important to cover these gaps. ⋯ We found no significant differences in key outcomes like thromboembolic events, hemorrhagic events, mortality rates, and favorable mRS (0-2) upon discharge in the studied patients between Ticagrelor and Clopidogrel. Moreover, the single-arm meta-analysis for Ticagrelor revealed low rates of thromboembolic events, hemorrhage, mortality, and high rates of favorable mRS scores.

Optimal Frequency in rTMS for the Management of Chronic Pain: A Network Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials.
Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) has been shown to be effective for pain modulation in a variety of pathological conditions causing neuropathic pain. The purpose of this study is to conduct a network meta-analysis (NMA) of randomized control trials to identify the most optimal frequency required to achieve chronic pain modulation using rTMS. ⋯ This NMA suggests that high frequency rTMS (20 Hz) is the most optimal frequency for chronic pain modulation. These findings have important clinical implications and can guide healthcare professionals in selecting the most effective frequency for rTMS treatment in patients with chronic pain.

Incidence of Cement Leakage and Potential Risk Factors in Surgery for Spinal Metastasis: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.
The current meta-analysis was performed to gather available evidence regarding the incidence and risk factors of cement leakage (CL) in patients undergoing surgical procedures for spinal metastasis. ⋯ This review provides insights into the incidence and risk factors associated with CL in surgical procedures for spinal metastasis. Understanding these risk factors can contribute to the development of tailored strategies aimed at minimizing CL occurrence and optimizing surgical outcomes for patients undergoing spinal metastatic surgery.

Exoscope use in spine surgery: a systematic review of applications, benefits, and limitations.
Exoscopes were recently developed as an alternative to the operative microscope (OM) and endoscope for intraoperative visualization during neurosurgery. Prior reviews studying mixed cranial and spinal surgical cohorts reported advantages with exoscope use, including improved ergonomics and teaching. In recent years, there has been an increase in exoscope research, with no updated systematic review focused exclusively on the benefits and limitations of exoscope use in spine surgery. Thus, we sought to systematically synthesize the literature related to exoscope-assisted spine surgery. ⋯ Exoscopes have advantages compared with OMs or endoscopes during spine surgery. The user learning curve is minimal, and no negative patient outcomes have been reported. However, some aspects of exoscope use necessitate longer term prospective research before exoscopes can be considered a standard tool in the armamentarium of intraoperative visualization strategies.

The Artificial Intelligence Revolution in Stroke Care: A Decade of Scientific Evidence in Review.
The emergence of artificial intelligence (AI) has significantly influenced the diagnostic evaluation of stroke and has revolutionized acute stroke care delivery. The scientific evidence evaluating the role of AI, especially in areas of stroke treatment and rehabilitation is limited but continues to accumulate. We performed a systemic review of current scientific evidence evaluating the use of AI in stroke evaluation and care and examined the publication trends during the past decade. ⋯ Most research on AI is in the diagnostic area of stroke care, with a recent noteworthy trend of increased research focus on stroke treatment and rehabilitation.
