Case ReportsRecurrent ectopic pregnancy after ipsilateral partial salpingectomy: a case report.
Ectopic pregnancy is associated with maternal morbidity and mortality during early pregnancy. Ectopic pregnancy occurs in approximately 2% of all pregnancies, and the risk of ectopic pregnancy is increased by eight-fold in women with a history of eopic pregnancy. ⋯ The authors experienced a case of recurrent ectopic pregnancy in the distal remnant after right partial salpingectomy. In this case report, they discuss this unusual case and provide a brief review of the literature.

How does early cognitive behavioural therapy reduce postpartum depression?
Postpartum depression (PPD) is a frequent mood disorder. Early identification of mothers at risk is crucial to successful prevention. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is an effective preventing therapy. ⋯ Mothers at high risk of PPD presented a statistically valid improvement of EPDS score. Mothers with low risk of PPD did not have CBT and showed a higher EPDS score than mother at high risk at 12 months. PPD prevention is possible through early identification of mothers at risk and early cognitive behavioural therapy.

Medication exposure and spontaneous abortion: a case-control study using a French medical database.
Few studies have been conducted to investigate drug effects on spontaneous abortion risk. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the potential association between first trimester drug exposure and spontaneous abortion occurrence. ⋯ This exploratory study highlights some potential associations between first trimester drug exposure and risk of spontaneous abortion. Further studies have to be carried out to investigate these findings.

Exploring the significance of sex hormone-binding globulin examination in the treament of women with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS).
To explore whether sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) and free androgen index (FAI) can be seen as therapeutic effect indexes of women with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). ⋯ It was important to check SHBG and FAI during the treatment of PCOS patient. They could be used to assess whether the treatment was effective and as a guidance of clinical medication.

Multicenter StudyNeonatal mortality rate and risk factors in northeast China: analysis of 5,277 neonates in 2005.
Healthcare has dramatically improved for both mothers and neonates over the last three decades in China. However, the reported rates of morbidity and mortality vary among different regions of China, and the exact rates in Northeast China are unknown. This study aimed to determine neonatal morbidity and mortality rates and the associated risk factors in Northeast China. ⋯ In 2005, the overall morbidity and mortality was 7.0% and 9.5%0, respectively in northeast China, and preterm delivery was the highest risk factor for neonatal mortality. The prevention on preterm delivery should be a top priority for the improvement of neonatal healthcare.
