[Functioning of implantable catheters of intraperitoneal chemotherapy].
Intraperitoneal chemotherapy with a totally implantable catheter was performed in 42 patients with advanced ovarian cancer who received 178 courses of chemotherapy administered in 2 l of solution. Major complication was inflow obstruction due to fibrosis around the catheter observed in 10 patients, 23.8% of the cases. ⋯ Outflow obstruction which occurred in 23 patients (54.8%), did not create discomfort and could not be considered as a complication. Despite the problems, intraperitoneal chemotherapy with a totally implantable catheter appeared feasible in at least 80% of the patients.

[Respiratory distress syndrome in the adult and pregnancy. Hemodynamic consequences].
RDS in adults is an unusual complication of pregnancy. We analysed a case of adult respiratory distress syndrome during pregnancy and assessed the haemodynamic data under controlled ventilation whilst a spontaneous delivery was carried out. The rapid drop in pulmonary artery pressure and in the QS-QT complex after the delivery suggests that there may be a placental shunt which gives a too high reading for exaggeration of the left to right intrapulmonary shunt figures obtained.

Case Reports[Heart surgery with extracorporeal circulation during pregnancy. Review of the literature with a case history].
The authors report a case of replacement of a mitral valve and of tricuspid annuloplasty using extracorporeal circulation in a pregnancy of 23 weeks amenorrhoea with a satisfactory result for the mother and the birth of a healthy baby after 35 weeks of amenorrhoea. A review of the literature made it possible to analyse the problems occurring in pregnancies in woman who have been fitted with a cardiac valve prosthesis and who have to have cardiac surgery in pregnancy.

Case Reports[Intracranial hemorrhage during hemorrhagic disease of the newborn infant at term].
The authors report a case of intra-cerebral hematoma in a patient with hemorrhagic disease of the newborn. This hematoma had to be taped, and after that, an hydrocephalus shunted. The state of deficiency of vitamin K in the newborn should be treated systematically. The oral route is as good as the intra-muscular route for the baby.

Operative hysteroscopy is often carried out using glycine as an irrigant. This solution has interesting properties but also metabolic effects that are very well known by urologists. This study is concerned with the biological changes that have occurred after one hundred surgical hysteroscopies of which twenty nine were carried out using glycine. ⋯ In five patients out of twenty nine post-operative quantities were 10 times those before operation. The consequences of these changes in glycine levels are variable and seem to be more significant in women who have never been pregnant or who are very heavy. Using vasoconstrictor agents does not alter these metabolic changes.
