Effect of Cognitive and Physical Rest on Persistent Postconcussive Symptoms following a Pediatric Head Injury.
To evaluate the effect of cognitive and physical rest on persistent postconcussive symptoms in a pediatric population. ⋯ Emerging evidence supports early return to light activity for recovery of acute pediatric concussion. Our study adds to this management approach as we did not find that rest from school and sports resulted in a decreased odds of persistent postconcussive symptoms.

Clinical and Genetic Spectrum of Children with Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia in China.
To report detailed knowledge about the clinical manifestations, ciliary phenotypes, genetic spectrum as well as phenotype/genotype correlation in primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD) in Chinese children. ⋯ This large PCD cohort in China broadens the clinical, ciliary phenotypes, and genetic characteristics of children with PCD. Our findings are roughly consistent with previous studies besides some peculiarities such as high prevalence of associated abnormalities.

Comparative Study Observational StudyA Comparison Between Chinese Children Infected with Coronavirus Disease-2019 and with Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome 2003.
To compare the clinical and laboratory features of severe acute respiratory syndrome 2003 (SARS) and coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in 2 Chinese pediatric cohorts, given that the causative pathogens and are biologically similar. ⋯ Children with COVID-19 were less symptomatic and had more favorable hematologic findings than children with SARS.

Serial Measurements of N-Terminal Pro-B-Type Natriuretic Peptide Serum Level for Monitoring Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension in Children.
To assess the association between serially measured N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) serum levels and disease severity in children with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), and to assess its predictive value for death or (heart-)lung transplantation. ⋯ Throughout the disease course of pediatric PAH, serial measurements of NT-proBNP are associated with disease severity and transplant-free survival. Monitoring NT-proBNP levels over time provides important prognostic information that can support clinical decision making in combination with other established prognostic markers.

Development of a Stakeholder Driven Serious Illness Communication Program for Advance Care Planning in Children, Adolescents, and Young Adults with Serious Illness.
To develop a generalizable advance care planning (ACP) intervention for children, adolescents, and young adults with serious illness using a multistage, stakeholder-driven approach. ⋯ The finalized PediSICP intervention includes a structured HCP and family ACP communication occasion supported by a 3-part communication tool and bolstered by focused HCP training. We also identified strategies to ameliorate implementation barriers. Future research will determine the feasibility of the PediSICP and whether it improves care alignment with patient and family goals.
