The challenges presented by haematopoietic stem cell transplantation in children with primary immunodeficiency.
For many primary immunodeficiencies (PIDs), haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) offers treatment to cure disease. However, patients with PID present a unique set of challenges when considering HSCT. ⋯ International collaborations are important to learn about rare presentations and complications, and to formulate the most effective and safe treatment strategies.

Review Meta AnalysisCurrent dietary advice and challenges for adolescents.
The major risk factors driving the global burden of disease are diet related. Adolescence presents a window of opportunity for establishing healthy dietary trajectories. Yet around the world, adolescents experience many barriers that prevent them from consuming diets that would give them the foundation for long, healthy and productive adult lives. ⋯ Future research should focus on vulnerable adolescent populations by addressing food environments, food insecurity and ensuring effective programmes and strategies are integrated within broader adolescent health strategies and implemented into government policies.

ReviewNeurodiversity at work: a biopsychosocial model and the impact on working adults.
The term neurodiversity is defined and discussed from the perspectives of neuroscience, psychology and campaigners with lived experience, illustrating the development of aetiological theories for included neurodevelopmental disorders. The emerging discourse is discussed with relevance to adults, social inclusion, occupational performance and the legislative obligations of organizations. ⋯ It is recommended that research addresses more functional, occupational concerns and includes the experiences of stakeholders in research development, moving away from diagnosis and deficit towards multi-disciplinary collaboration within a biopsychosocial model.

Observational StudyOutcome of total hip and total knee arthroplasty and vitamin D homeostasis.
Low levels of vitamin D are common in patients undergoing total hip arthroplasty (THA) and total knee arthroplasty (TKA), but it is still unclear whether the outcome of such surgery is related to vitamin D levels. ⋯ Further studies should explore the possible causal relationship between vitamin D status and outcomes of THA and TKA and verify the laboratory methods to analyse it.

ReviewWhat prevents health policy being 'evidence-based'? New ways to think about evidence, policy and interventions in health.
Evidence-based policy decision-making is a dominant paradigm in health but realizing this ideal has proven challenging. ⋯ An 'evidence-making intervention' approach offers a framework for conceptualizing how evidence and interventions are made relationally in practices, thus working with the politics and contingencies of implementation and policy-making.
