We report three cases of 54, 58 and 65-year-old patients presenting annular lesions with centrifugal migratory extension. They occur exclusively on sun-exposed areas. In two cases, the lesions were multiple. ⋯ These three cases illustrate the typical features of O'Brien's actinic granuloma. Relationship between this actinic granuloma and granuloma annulare occurring on sun-exposed areas on one side, and necrobiosis lipoidica, Miescher's granuloma and granuloma multiforme on the other side, are discussed. On the basis of some clinical and histological patterns, the autonomy of O'Brien's actinic granuloma appears to be established.

The life history of the Sarcoptes scabiei var. hominis has been studied with a scanning electron microscope on crusts of a patient with hyperkeratotic (Norwegian) scabies, Eggs, embedded in an amorphous material, are laid in tiers on the parakeratotic floor of the burrow. Once larval maturation has been completed, eggs are cut out from inside and the larvae leave the shells which remain attached to the neighbouring corneocytes. The moults are easily recognized and give us a view on the hidden face of dorsal spines and bristles.

The total T lymphocyte and T cell subsets were counted in various dermatoses by indirect immunofluorescence using the monoclonal antibodies OKT3, OKT4, OKT8 which distinguish all peripheral T cells, helper T cells and suppressor T cells respectively. In particular, 7 cases of the Sézary syndrome and 7 cases of mycosis fungoides were studied. ⋯ There was no significant increase in the total T cell percentage in the ratio of helper to suppressor lymphocytes in the Sézary syndrome with a normal balance in mycosis fungoides. Among the other dermatoses only atopic eczema showed a significant increase in the helper/suppressor ratio suggesting an imbalance of T cell subpopulations in this condition.
