Periodontal health should be defined as a state free from inflammatory periodontal disease that allows an individual to function normally and not suffer any consequences (mental or physical) as a result of past disease. Tissues located in the vicinity of implants, known as peri-implantation tissues, have specific and in many ways similar anatomy. The elaborate protocol of preventive measures to ensure periodontal health is extremely important. ⋯ Herein, we describe that the periodontal health can serve as a vital common reference point for assessing disease, determining meaningful preventive methods and treatment outcomes. This article mainly focuses on the role of new clinical data regarding periodontal health and motivational interviewing, which received a particular attention in recent years such as motivation for abidance and on the prognosis of periodontal health (Tab. 3, Ref. 26). Rationale Use of Neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio for early diagnosis and stratification of COVID-19.
Coronavirus disease is caused by a virus that is the cause of a potentially fatal disease worldwide. Coronavirus is a pathogen that primarily affects the human respiratory system. Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) has been named WHO since February 11, 2020. ⋯ In some cases, multiple inflammations have been observed. Treatment with interferon inhalation showed no clinical effect and the condition worsened instead (Tab. 5, Fig. 1, Ref. 18). Keywords: neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio, corona virus SARS-CoV-2, COVID-19.

Inherited metabolic disorders of glycoconjugate metabolism include congenital disorders of glycosylation (CDG) - disorders in biosynthesis of glycoconjugates; and some of the lysosomal storage diseases (LSD) - disorders of their degradation. This review summarizes the brief characteristics of metabolic pathways of synthesis and catabolism of glycoconjugates as well as the latest update of relevant enzymatic defects discovered in population. Every year the number of known subtypes of these disorders dramatically increases as a result of high-throughput analytical infrastructure applied. ⋯ Thus, disorders of glycoconjugate metabolism should be considered and ruled out in any unexplained syndrome. The collaboration between scientists and physicians plays an important role in the progress of such personalized diagnostics, that is essential mainly for rare diseases (Tab. 2, Fig. 1, Ref. 49). Keywords: congenital disorders of glycosylation, lysosomal storage disorders.

Clostridium (Clostridioides) difficile is the most common pathogen of nosocomial and antibiotic-related diarrhea in health-care facilities. The aim of the analysis was to show the testing algorithm and to identify hypervirulent strains (suspected RT 027). ⋯ The results of PCR ribotyping showed a high prevalence of hypervirulent and toxigenic ribotypes in the studied sample. A resistance to vancomycin was found in one isolate. The PCR method contributed to the rapid laboratory diagnosis and thus treatment of high risk patients or was used as a third step in in the case of unclear results of standard diagnostic methods(Tab. 1, Fig. 4, Ref. 18). The objectives of this study were to determine the prognostic value of expression levels of selected biomarkers and their statistical analysis in relation to survival and standard histopathologic examination and other clinicopathologic variables in non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC). ⋯ Low expression levels of Ki-67 and high expression levels of E-cadherin positively affect survival of patients, whereas aberrant expressions pose poorer prognosis (Tab. 2, Fig. 2, Ref. 33).
