Retinal venous and arterial occlusions are common causes of visual loss. Depending on the location and extent, symptoms may vary from very discrete impairments to complete loss of sight. ⋯ While local diagnostic and therapeutic measures are performed by ophthalmologists, there is an important role for interdisciplinary cooperation in the investigation and systemic treatment of these events.

Robots help to intensify motor rehabilitation of the upper and lower limbs after stroke. This article presents controlled studies relating to this topic, and an overview. ⋯ Robot-assisted motor rehabilitation after stroke appears promising. More trials, including comparative studies, are mandatory. The robot cannot be considered a substitute for the patient-therapist relationship.

Cervical spinal stenosis has become more common because of the aging of the population. There remains much uncertainty about the options for surgical treatment and their indications, particularly in cases of cervical myelopathy. ⋯ The available scientific data are too sparse to enable evidence-based treatment of cervical myelopathy. Early surgical intervention is often recommended in the literature. Controversy remains regarding the choice of the appropriate surgical procedure, but there is consensus on the suitable options for many specific clinical situations.
