Cyclin D1 is a protein that can increase the proliferation of cancer cells. Its expression has been found in various malignancies, including gastric cancer. Cyclin D1 examinations have not been routinely performed for gastric cancer cases in Indonesia. A recent study of cyclin D1 in gastric cancer was associated with lymph node involvement, metastasis, poor prognosis, and a lack of response to platinum chemotherapy. ⋯ Cyclin D1 expression was associated with liver metastases in patients with gastric cancer.

Chest injury is one of the most common types of trauma-related injuries accounting for about 10% of trauma admissions in emergency services. The injuries may be immediate, life-threatening, or potentially life-threatening based on diagnosis after initial assessment. This study is intended to analyze the pattern of diagnosis found in chest-injured patients in a trauma center of a developing country. ⋯ Chest wall soft tissue injuries constitute a large proportion of chest injuries seen in our setting. Despite its relatively low importance in the medical literature, it should be given attention in resource-poor settings in order to minimize missed significant injuries in the absence of diagnostic facilities. Therefore, high index of suspicion and low threshold for observation should be practiced in this group of patients.

An ultrasound-guided erector spinae plane block (ESPB) has emerged as an effective way to control postoperative pain and may be a good alternative way to an epidural block. However, relevant research on the appropriate concentration of local anesthetics for an ESPB remains scarce. ⋯ The optimal concentration of ropivacaine recommended for an ESPB was 0.375%, which was effective in controlling pain and reducing the intraoperative opioid requirements with minimal adverse reactions such as hypotension.

Human teeth and nails have demonstrated similar factors genetically, embryologically, and morphologically. The fingernail form may be used as a post-extraction guide for selecting the tooth form. ⋯ A definite correlation exists between maxillary central incisor tooth form and fingernail form. The fingernail form may be used as a post-extraction guide for selecting the maxillary central incisor tooth form in the Saudi Arabian population.

Behçet's disease (BD) is a chronic systemic inflammatory vasculitis of unknown etiology characterized by recurrent episodes of oral aphthous ulcers, genital ulcers, skin lesions, ocular lesions, and other manifestations. This disease affects many organs and systems and shows a wide range of clinical manifestations. ⋯ However, syndromes such as psychosis appear to be less frequent. Therefore, we present a case of BD complicated by schizophrenia-like symptoms.
