Talipes equinovarus or Clubfoot: A review of study approaches, management and trends in Pakistan.
This paper aims to assess the status of scientific literature on talipes equinovarus (TEV) published from Pakistan, to get an insight into the trend in knowledge over the years, and to highlight study gaps in this area. A detailed review of published literature was conducted from November 2019 to January 2020. 'Talipes/congenital talipes', 'clubfoot/congenital clubfoot', 'talipes equinovarus /congenital talipes equinovarus' AND 'Pakistan' were used as key terms. Different search engines, PubMed, PakMediNet, ScienceDirect, Embase and Google Scholar were utilized to retrieve articles. ⋯ There is, however, scarcity of basic research on the prevalence, etiology, risk factors, clinical heterogeneity, associated anomalies, genetics, and molecular diagnostics of TEV. In conclusion, prudent scientific evidence is required for any policy-making and relevant public health action. Hence, large scale population-based studies are required for a broader overview and understanding the clinical spectrum of TEV.

To assess the safety as well as efficacy of desmopressin monotherapy alone and in combination (desmopressin + oxybutynin) in treating nocturnal urinary incontinence among children with 7 to 13 years. ⋯ Desmopressin combination with oxybutynin is more effective as compared to monotherapy treatment. The affectivity of the combination therapy was very high with least side effects and all the children recovered from the condition at third month of treatment. Furthermore, headache was observed to be common with monotherapy and loss of appetite was observed with combination therapy.

Congenital venous anomalies are uncommon, incidental findings encountered during adult interventional electrophysiology procedures. Femoral venous access is conventionally used during cardiac electrophysiology studies to gain access to the heart. The chance finding of an inferior vena cava anomaly may preclude the performance of these procedures from the femoral approach. We describe two cases in which we were able to successfully perform different radiofrequency catheter ablation procedures in the presence of an unusual venous anomaly, the left-sided IVC.

Endometriosis is a common gynecological disease, ectopic endometrium can invade any part of the body, usually in the ovary and uterine sacral ligament, while endometriosis invades the intestinal wall to cause intestinal obstruction is very rare, which easily leads to misdiagnosis. In this case report, we present a case of sigmoid endometriosis with bowel obstruction. Pathological examination is the main basis for the diagnosis of intestinal endometriosis, and the comprehensive treatment of surgery and hormonal therapy is an effective method for the treatment of intestinal endometriosis.
