To justify the allocation of human and financial resources, this study aims to identify multiple stakeholders' views of medical education research priorities in Pakistan for the next five years. ⋯ The study identified top MER priority areas as continuous professional development, assessment and communication skills. Some areas unique to the current study include admissions, fostering critical thinking, Islamic values in professionalism and ethics. The study provides evidence-base for decision-making about allocating time and funds for MER in Pakistan.

Helicobacter Pylori (H. pylori) is a widespread infection across the globe having a high prevalence among the developing countries. Iron Deficiency is anticipated to be the most prevalent micronutrient deficiency globally, the most frequent cause of anemia. Our objective was to determine frequency of Iron Deficiency Anemia (IDA) among patients with H. Pylori gastritis. ⋯ IDA was noted in 37.5% of cases. H. Pylori infection is a frequent cause of iron-deficiency anemia of previously unidentified origin among adults.

To assess patterns & outcomes of dog bite injuries coming to a public sector tertiary care hospital in Karachi, Pakistan. ⋯ Research reveals Males belonging to adult age group were most vulnerable, most bites were inflicted in early hours, most common animal inflicting the bites were stray dogs. Many victims did not complete their vaccination from the same centre. Peak of the summer was associated with a decline in number of incidents.

Gaucher disease (GD) is a rare hereditary disorder caused by deficiency of the lysosomal enzyme β-glucocerebrosidase. An early and definitive diagnosis minimizes the sequelae of misdiagnoses, and unnecessary and invasive diagnostic procedures. ⋯ Each patient with Gaucher disease need to be approached by taking a thorough history, a proper clinical examination, and then by being investigated, accordingly. Biomarkers and molecular genetic studies are more accurate and solid additional tools, to the enzymatic assays on dried blood sample (DBS).

To observe the clinical value of 3D printing technology assisted surgery combined with early postoperative comprehensive rehabilitation in elderly patients with intertrochanteric fractures. ⋯ 3D printing with early rehab proved to be effective treatment in our study. Such a combined treatment has the advantages of precise operative reduction, fast postoperative recovery, and certain safety and effectiveness.
