To investigate the application of tirofiban in patients with acute myocardial infarction complicated with diabetes and undergoing emergency interventional therapy. ⋯ In patients with STEMI complicated with diabetes who underwent PCI and found to have high thrombus burden in coronary artery, intracoronary bolus of tirofiban boasts superior therapeutic efficacy over intravenous bolus of tirofiban in significantly improving cardiac function, reducing myocardial cell damage, and improving renal function and myocardial inflammation of patients.

To compare the choroidal thickness in eyes of diabetic patients with eyes of age matched controls using optical coherence tomography in a tertiary care hospital. ⋯ In this study, mean central choroidal thickness as well as average choroidal thickness was significantly reduced in eyes having diabetic retinopathy as compared to participants with non-diabetic healthy eyes. These findings indicate that changes in choroid may be a probable route in the pathogenesis of diabetic retinopathy.

To see the difference in mortality among hospitalized COVID-19 patients given Remdesivir (RDV) with those who were not given RDV. ⋯ RDV did not show any difference in in-hospital mortality in our patients. More patients had severe ARDS in the RDV group while patients in the non-RDV group had higher SOFA score and multi-organ failure. Length of stay was longer in patients receiving Remdesivir.
