The present research studied moral injury and psychological resilience in healthcare professionals amid COVID-19 pandemic. Relationship between moral injury and resilience was explored in addition to finding the difference in study variables based on socio-demographics factors. ⋯ The findings of the study are helpful for stakeholders of health care system to better understand and prepare for the situations that brings moral injury and challenge psychological resilience particularly in times of pandemic, humanitarian crisis, or natural disasters.

To determine the prevalence, risk factors for macrosomia and pregnancy outcome in women with gestational diabetes (GDM). ⋯ Fetal macrosomia is a common complication among GDM patients. Maternal obesity and poorly controlled diabetes are the common modifiable maternal factors contributing to macrosomia.

To assess frailty in cirrhotic by calculating Liver Frailty Index (LFI) using bedside clinical tests and correlate it with Child-Turcotte-Pugh (CTP), MELD, MELD Na, Fib- 4 and Transient Elastography (TE) scores. ⋯ Significant correlation between frailty score in cirrhotic with cirrhosis severity scores highlights the need for frequently assessing LFI in all cirrhotic at regular follow up visits.

To evaluate the clinical effect of magnesium aluminum carbonate combined with rabeprazole-based triple therapy in the treatment of patients with Helicobacter pylori-positive gastric ulcer associated with hemorrhage. ⋯ Magnesium aluminum carbonate combined with rabeprazole-based triple therapy is preferred for the treatment of patients with Helicobacter pylori-positive gastric ulcer associated with hemorrhage. With such a highly effective treatment regimen, the internal environment and blood supply of gastric mucosal cells can be significantly improved, gastric mucosal inflammation and gastrointestinal symptoms can be ameliorated, and the healing of ulcer surfaces can be accelerated.

Lemierre syndrome (LS) is an oropharyngeal infection, followed by bacteremia, thrombosis of the internal jugular vein and subsequent hematogenic metastasis via septic emboli. We report a case of Lemierre syndrome complicated by descending necrotizing mediastinitis due to a Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infection in a 5-month-old Saudi boy.
