To compare the efficacy of Ondansetron versus Domperidone for treating vomiting in acute gastroenteritis (AGE) in children at a resource limited emergency setting of South Punjab, Pakistan. ⋯ In comparison to Domperidone, Ondansetron was found to have better efficacy aiming cessation of AGE associated vomiting among children with mild to moderate dehydration.

To determine the incidence of fetal hydrocephalus in pregnant women and to identify the association of fetal hydrocephalus with other embryological anomalies. ⋯ Most cases of fetal hydrocephalus were observed in women of younger age (p=0.011). Fetal hydrocephalus of severe type exhibiting ventricular dilatation >15mm was observed in fetuses of male gender.

To investigate the efficacy of perioperative administration of a single dose of gabapentin on postoperative pain in patients undergoing sternotomy for CABG. ⋯ Pre-operative administration of a single dose of Gabapentin doesn't significantly influence the post-operative pain, opioid consumption, sleep quality, or quality of recovery in patients undergoing cardiac surgery.

To discuss the clinically significant endoscopic findings of the upper GI tract and their association with different age groups in a dyspeptic rural population of Gadap town, Sindh. ⋯ Normal upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, regardless of age, is a common finding in patients suffering from dyspepsia in our setting. Therefore, in a resource constraint environment like ours, expensive endoscopic procedures should be reserved for those patients who are not responding to medical therapy or those who have alarm symptoms.
