To determine the effects of donor and red blood cells concentrate characteristics on recipient hemoglobin increment following red blood cells transfusion in pediatric patients. ⋯ Donors' age and Rh blood group and red blood cell concentrates' washing accounts for significant rise in recipient's post-transfusion hemoglobin. These factors may be used to predict changes in recipients' hemoglobin before transfusion.

To assess appropriate antibiotics use in neonatal sepsis and to highlight the need for developing an Antibiotic stewardship program at local levels. ⋯ Due to poor availability of latest data about local antibacterial resistance pattern and lack of knowledge among pediatricians about latest antibiotic prescribing protocols, many inconsistencies were noted in the use of antibiotics in neonatal sepsis which resulted in a poor outcome hence, reflecting in international key health indicators (neonatal mortality rate) of country. Concerning the change in the resistance pattern of microorganisms to antimicrobials, it is high time to collect local data about antibacterial susceptibility and develop an antibiotic stewardship program to stop inappropriate use of antibiotics.

To determine the application value of thinprep cytologic test (TCT) combined with serum carbohydrate antigen 153 (CA153) and carbohydrate antigen 50 (CA50) detection in the early diagnosis and screening of cervical cancer and precancerous lesions. ⋯ TCT combined with serum CA153 and CA50 has been reported as a treatment regimen with high accuracy, which has a high diagnostic efficiency for early diagnosis of cervical cancer and precancerous lesions, and can significantly improve the sensitivity.

To evaluate the radiographic patterns on Chest X-Ray (CXR) in accordance with Modified Brixia Scoring as supporting imaging tool in triaging of Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) pneumonia. ⋯ Chest radiograph is used for triaging of suspected COVID pneumonia patients in emergency settings. It assesses the severity of disease according to modified Brixia scoring for treatment plan.
