Preoperative rehabilitation should improve the functional condition of patients. Improvements in metabolism, lung mechanics, cardiovascular function, and muscle-function can be achieved by pulmonary rehabilitation. Hence, we focused on elderly patients with lung cancer undergoing surgery, and assessed the effectiveness of a rapid and precise pulmonary rehabilitation nursing program during the perioperative period. ⋯ Strengthening pulmonary rehabilitation nursing interventions for elderly patients with lung cancer during the perioperative period can reduce their postoperative complications and promote their rapid recovery. The current review aimed to assess the efficacy of adjunctive chlorhexidine (CHX) in the non-surgical treatment of peri-implantitis/peri-implant mucositis. ⋯ Evidence on the efficacy of adjunctive CHX for peri-implant mucositis is conflicting. Similarly, strong conclusions on the effect of CHX for peri-implantitis cannot be drawn due to limited number of studies. Overall, there seems to be a trend of non-significant impact of CHX on outcomes of peri-implant mucositis as well as peri-implantitis.

To assess household poverty, sanitation and hygiene practices, and food security in both urban and rural settlements of district Peshawar. ⋯ The findings of the study revealed both non-poor and food secure households with satisfactory water, hygiene and sanitation practices.

Systematic reviews rank at the top of the evidence hierarchy. Concise writing implies drafting the systematic review article succinctly, i.e. using as few words to express as full an extent of the research effort as possible. Precise writing means drafting the text with accuracy especially with respect to the methodological and statistical aspects. ⋯ However, with the availability of online appendices to transparently and fully report the details of the methods, results and other aspects of the work undertaken allows for a succinct print or PDF article. Writing a shorter manuscript is more effortful than writing a longer report. This commentary is aimed at novice systematic reviewers to help them learn the written and unwritten writing rules in order to assist them in producing impactful publications to support evidence-based medicine.

Artificial Intelligence is no more the talk of the fiction read in novels or seen in movies. It has been making inroads slowly and gradually in medical education and clinical management of patients apart from all other walks of life. ⋯ This has made a significant impact on our approach in medical science. Though there are benefits of this new technology, a lot of caution is required for its use.
