To compare the effects of high-speed turbodrill root extraction and piezosurgery tooth socket enlargement on the alveolar ridge preservation of maxillary anterior teeth. ⋯ Piezosurgery tooth socket enlargement is more worthy of clinical application due to its advantages of less impact on the preservation of the palatal alveolar ridge height of the maxillary anterior teeth, shorter tooth extraction time, postoperative pain-free rate and high final satisfaction rate.

This study was done to compare the clinical features, laboratory findings and surgical outcomes of pediatric patients with choledochal cysts. ⋯ Choledochal cysts have variable presentations depending upon age of the patients. Complete surgical excision of choledochal cyst is the treatment modality of choice and timely surgical management can prevent complications.

To analyze the pregnancy outcomes of patients presenting with infertility solely due to diminished ovarian reserve (DOR) and treated by assisted reproductive technology (ART), including artificial insemination by husband (AIH) and in vitro fertilization (IVF). ⋯ In subfertile women with DOR, live birth rates following AIH were significantly lower than IVF, especially for the aged women. Considering the low efficacy of AIH and that majority of live births were achieved in the first two cycles, we suggest no more than two AIH treatment attempts for the aged women with DOR.

Artificial Intelligence is no more the talk of the fiction read in novels or seen in movies. It has been making inroads slowly and gradually in medical education and clinical management of patients apart from all other walks of life. ⋯ This has made a significant impact on our approach in medical science. Though there are benefits of this new technology, a lot of caution is required for its use.

COVID-19 has taken the world by storm, creating much disparity among both healthcare and non-healthcare centres regarding the provision of services. The purpose of our study was to see the prevalence of the SARS-COV-2 exposure in the asymptomatic patients undergoing the endoscopic procedure, already triaged based on history and examination. ⋯ About one-fourth of the patients undergoing the endoscopic procedure were tested positive for COVID antibodies of which a significant percentage had chronic liver disease. It stresses the need of observing standard precautions to prevent the spread of infection during these procedures, especially in the vulnerable population.
