To investigate the therapeutic effect of transcranial direct current stimulation (TDCS) combined with donepezil on stroke patients with memory impairment. ⋯ TDCS combined with donepezil can reduce or delay the cognitive impairment of stroke patients, improve their delayed memory ability, increase the neurotransmitter acetylcholine in the cerebral cortex, and further enhance their neural function. Findings in our study support that the proposed therapeutic method is worthy of clinical application.

To evaluate the efficacy of hematological parameters to predict severity of COVID-19 patients. ⋯ It can be concluded from the study that total leucocyte count, absolute neutrophil count and neutrophil lymphocyte ratio can predict in-hospital mortality and morbidity in COVID-19 patients.

Poor postnatal care can increase morbidity and mortality. This study assessed the current deficiencies in quality of postnatal care provided to mothers in Lady Aitchison hospital, Lahore when compared to WHO standards and identifies the areas for quality improvement. ⋯ This study suggests that in developing countries like Pakistan, majority of the patients were satisfied by the services of healthcare workers. The prime improvement area is the infra-structure of the hospital which can be upgraded to provide better quality facilities in terms of air-conditioning, washrooms and well-designed areas for extensive examination of breast, pelvis, abdomen and neonates. There is also need for introduction of standard guidelines for postnatal care.

To investigate the correlation of antinuclear antibody (ANA), antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA) and anticardiolipin antibody (ACA) with the degree of the neurological defect and cerebrovascular stenosis in patients with cerebral infarction. ⋯ The positive rates of ANA, ACA and ANCA antibodies were higher in patients with ACI, which was closely correlated with the degree of cerebrovascular stenosis and neurological deficit.

To determine the sensitivity of ACR-TIRADS scoring by comparing its results with those obtained on biopsy of respective specimens. ⋯ The Ultrasonographic ACR-TIRADS scoring and risk stratification system is highly sensitive for detecting malignancy in thyroid nodules. It is, therefore, a reliable technique in the initial assessment of thyroid nodules and decisions can safely be based on its results. In cases of doubt, clinical judgment should be exercised before making final decision.
