To investigate the clinical value of contrast-enhanced CT combined with PET/CT in the differential diagnosis of mediastinal lymph node metastasis (MLNM) of non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). ⋯ Contrast-enhanced CT combined with PET/CT in the diagnosis of MLNM of NSCLC presents higher coincidence rate, sensitivity and accuracy. With the increase in tumor malignancy, the enhancement degree and radioactive substance concentration increase. The two methods are synergistic and complementary in diagnosing MLNM.

To observe the clinical efficacy and complications of conbercept combined with a 577-nm micropulse laser in patients with macular edema (ME) secondary to non-ischemic central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO). ⋯ Conbercept combined with 577-nm micropulse laser treatment can benefit patients with non-ischemic CRVO-induced ME by improving their visual acuity and relieve ME symptoms. As a regimen of impressive clinical efficacy, it is of great value for wide application in clinical practice.

Noninvasive high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (nHFOV) is a novel respiratory support mode for premature infants. This retrospective study aimed to compare the effect of nHFOV and bi-level nasal continuous positive airway pressure (BiPAP) in premature infants with neonatal respiratory failure (NRF) as initial noninvasive ventilation (NIV) support mode. ⋯ nHFOV significantly reduced the need for IMV and improved the elimination of CO2 compared with BiPAP in preterm infants with NRF without increasing the incidence of adverse effects.

To analyze the systems and tools involved in assessment of skill procurement and demonstrating workplace skills in postgraduate medical training. ⋯ There are multiple lacunae regarding competency-based assessment systems in our training programs and a massive scope for improvement. Assessment systems should be implemented as continuous process of learning, self-reflection, feedback and revalidation throughout the training tenure at regular and multiple points.
