To evaluate the effect of Metformin therapy on patients of breast cancer with complications of Type-2 diabetes. ⋯ Type-2 diabetes remains one of the risk factors affecting breast cancer development, progress and prognosis, which could lower the 5-year overall survival rate among breast cancer patients. This is especially evident among menopaused women. Metformin therapy may improve the prognosis of patients of breast cancer complicated with Type-2 diabetes.

To determine the frequency of successful guidewire crossing through chronic total occlusion (CTO) in patients having a J-CTO Score = 2 (difficult lesion). ⋯ The success rate of guidewire crossing through CTO in patients having a J-CTO Score =2 (difficult lesion) is acceptable so J-CTO score can be considered for difficulty grading of the lesion before intervention to prevent complications and success rate of PCI.

To observe the clinical significance of N-terminal natriuretic peptide combined with inflammatory factors, oxidative stress factors and blood lipid detection in elderly patients with Type-2 diabetes complicated with CHD (CHD), and provide a theoretical basis for the diagnosis and treatment of elderly patients with Type-2 diabetes complicated with CHD. ⋯ Elderly patients with Type-2 diabetes complicated with CHD showed systemic microinflammation, decreased antioxidant molecule content, as well as myocardial damage and abnormal lipid metabolism compared with patients with CHD alone. For this reason, attention should be paid to the above risk factors in clinical practice, and proactive prevention and treatment should be taken to reduce the probability of related complications.

To evaluate the clinical value of intravesical gemcitabine combined with immunotherapy in patients with non-muscle-invasive bladder carcinoma (NMIBC) after transurethral resection of bladder tumor (TURBT). ⋯ For NMIBC patients receiving bladder-preserving surgery, intravesical gemcitabine combined with immunotherapy can reduce the recurrence rate, relieve lower urinary tract symptoms, increase the tolerance of patients to intravesical chemotherapy and significantly improve the function of T lymphocytes, without obvious increase in adverse drug reactions. Therefore, it is safe and effective, and has certain clinical value.

To determine the association between the laboratory biomarkers (C-reactive protein (CRP), Ferritin, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), Procalcitonin, and D-dimer) with complications and in-hospital mortality in COVID-19 patients. ⋯ Serum CRP, ferritin, Procalcitonin, LDH, and D-dimer levels at the time of admission can predict complications like ARDS and MI and also predict mortality in COVID-19 infection. Serum LDH and D-dimer are the best amongst them for predicting mortality.
