Bilateral 4-quadrant laparoscopic-assisted transversus abdominis plane block reduces early postoperative pain after laparoscopic cholecystectomy: A prospective, single-blind, randomized study.
To investigate the efficacy of bilateral 4-quadrant laparoscopic-assisted transversus abdominis plane (BLTAP) block in laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC). ⋯ Bilateral 4-quadrant laparoscopic-assisted transversus abdominis plane block technique is more effective than SA, local anesthetic infiltration, and ULTAP block in preventing early postoperative pain after LC.Clinicaltrials.gov No.: NCT04641403.

To determine the microvascular complications prevalence in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) in the eastern province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. ⋯ Microvascular complications were extremely common in type 2 DM patients in our region. Being older, regularly visiting an ophthalmologist, and using injection therapy were predictive factors correlated with a higher chance of experiencing these complications.

To evaluate the role of teleradiology during the COVID-19 pandemic from Saudi radiologists' perspectives to improve the radiology quality service. ⋯ Concerns raised on complicated cases that require physical presence of patients, cannot be performed by teleradiology. Additionally, it might provide insufficient communication with other professionals to discuss images.

To assess the different side effects of COVID-19 vaccines at different scenarios in Saudi Arabia. ⋯ These findings can assist in evaluating the concerns regarding vaccine acceptance. The public should be made aware that they are likely to experience at least one side effect, with temporary post-injection inflammation, musculoskeletal pain, fever, and headache as the most commonly reported side effects across the board. However, the common symptoms are mild to moderate, and the side effects last for a short period for most people.

To experimentally evaluate the effects of preoperative fasting duration on distant organ liver in renal ischaemia-reperfusion (IR) injury. ⋯ With this result, it would be correct to say that the short preoperative fasting period has protective effects on the liver tissue.
