Comparison of laboratory biomarkers for the prediction of in-hospital mortality and severity of acute pulmonary embolism: A multi-center study.
To assess the specificity and sensitivity of prognostic biomarkers in individuals diagnosed with acute pulmonary embolism (PE). ⋯ Multiple parameters have been implicated in the mortality and severity of PE. Prospective evaluation of lipid management following acute coronary syndrome in Saudi Arabia.
To evaluate LDL-C control in patients within 6 months after hospitalization for ACS in Saudi Arabia. ⋯ Levels and decrease of LDL-C from baseline achieved in this study are suboptimal, according to updated 2019 ESC/EAS guidelines. While statins were prescribed to all patients post-ACS, the recommended add-on treatments were largely overlooked. Gaps in dyslipidemia management linger, despite clear updated guidelines.

To understand the most common type and clinical manifestations of associated vasculitis (AAV) in the Saudi Arabia. ⋯ This study validated international reports on AAV clinical manifestations in the Saudi population. The GPA was associated with more upper airway and pulmonary signs and symptoms. Further investigation is needed to understand the treatments and quality of life of patients with AAV.
