Determining the epidemiological characteristics of M. bovis strains isolated from human and animal tuberculosis cases will assist in taking more appropriate and effective control measures in controlling tuberculosis originating from animal ⋯ In this study, we determined that the use of spoligotyping and MIRU-VNTR methods together was found to be more sensitive in the epidemiological analysis of M. bovis isolates.

Premature birth is a major problem that results in an increased risk of mortality and morbidity. The management of such infants consists of supraphysiological oxygen therapy, which affects brain development due, in part, to the deterioration caused by reactive oxygen species (ROS). We showed previously that exogenously administered uridine provides neuroprotection in a neonatal rat model of hyperoxic brain injury. Hence, the aim of the present study was to investigate the effects of uridine on ROS in the same setting. ⋯ These data suggest that uridine exhibits antioxidative properties which may mediate the protective effects of uridine in a neonatal rat model of hyperoxic brain injury.

This study aims to investigate peripheral nerve excitability in patients with subacute stroke. ⋯ The lower motor neurons were affected at the level of axonal channels as a result of upper motor neuron lesions. It can be due to dying back neuropathy, homeostasis, and neurovascular regulation changes in the axonal environment, activity-dependent plastic changes, loss of drive coming from the central nervous system, or a combination of these factors.

The aim of this research is to evaluate the relationship between the quality of health and accreditation standards with the Covid-19 process and to reveal the importance of quality and accreditation in health care in the process of combating coronavirus. ⋯ Studies on quality and accreditation in health services are important in terms of being prepared for Covid-19 and similar epidemic and pandemic situations, and to carry out planned and effective management of the process.
