Review Meta Analysis3D printing-assisted surgery for proximal humerus fractures: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
This study aimed to assess the efficacy of three-dimensional (3D) printing to conventional surgeries in proximal humerus fractures (PHFs). ⋯ 3D printing-assisted surgery improves operation time, anatomic healing, pain, and motion, with less harm to patients.

Review Meta AnalysisImpact of resuscitative endovascular balloon occlusion of the aorta (REBOA) in traumatic abdominal and pelvic exsanguination: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Resuscitative Endovascular Balloon Occlusion of the Aorta (REBOA) represents a minimally invasive technique of aortic occlusion (AO). It has been demonstrated to be safe and effective with appropriate training in traumatic hemorrhage with hemodynamic instability; however, its indications are still debated. The aim of this systematic review and meta-analysis is to assess the impact of REBOA on mortality in torso trauma patient with severe non-compressible hemorrhage compared to other temporizing hemostatic techniques. ⋯ Level III according to ELIS (SR/MA with up to two negative criteria).

Review Meta AnalysisClinical outcomes of the use of 3D printing models in fracture management: a meta-analysis of randomized studies.
The use of three-dimensional printing models in medical practice has been booming recently and its application to orthopedic surgery is gaining popularity. When treating fractures by open reduction and internal fixation, potential benefits have been associated with the use of 3D printing models. Review Meta AnalysisTreatment of closed femoral shaft fractures in children aged 2-10 years: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
To review current literature on treatment of closed femoral shaft fractures in children of 2-10 years old, with subgroup analysis of children aged 2-6 years, comparing intramedullary nailing (IMN) to conservative treatment modalities. ⋯ Although a lack of quality evidence, this systematic review showed a clear tendency to treatment with elastic intramedullary nails of femoral shaft fractures in children of 2-10 years of age.

Review Meta AnalysisOutcomes of early versus delayed weight-bearing with intramedullary nailing of tibial shaft fractures: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Early weight bearing (EWB) is often recommended after intramedullary nailing of tibial shaft fractures, however, the risks and benefits have not been critically evaluated in a systematic review or meta-analysis. Therefore, the aims of this study were to perform a systematic review and meta-analysis comparing EWB and delayed weight-bearing (DWB) after intramedullary nailing of tibial shaft fractures and assess the relationship between weight-bearing, fracture union and healing. ⋯ The included studies were of moderate risk of bias and demonstrated shorter union time and fewer complications with EWB. However, current evidence is minimal and has significant limitations. The role of EWB in high-risk patients is yet to be examined. Further well-designed, randomised studies are required on the topic.
