Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative Study[Contribution of ultrasound guidance to the performance of the axillary brachial plexus block with multiple nerve stimulation].
To evaluate whether ultrasound imaging of vascular nerve structures improves anesthetic block quality and decreases the incidence of vascular puncture in the performance of an axillary brachial plexus block with multiple nerve stimulation. ⋯ Combining ultrasound guidance with nerve stimulation improves the anesthetic quality of an axillary brachial plexus block, decreases the likelihood of vascular puncture, and slightly increases the amount of time required to perform the procedure.

Review Case Reports[Acute renal failure secondary to hemolytic uremic syndrome in a pregnant woman with pre-eclampsia].
Acute renal failure is a serious complication of pregnancy associated with a high rate of morbidity and mortality; the incidence is currently 1 per 10,000 pregnancies. The most common causes are gestational hypertension, bleeding, sepsis, and intrinsic renal disease. ⋯ The classic symptoms are fever, hemolytic microangiopathic anemia, thrombopenia, neurologic dysfunction, and kidney abnormalities. When renal involvement is the predominant manifestation, the diagnosis is usually hemolytic uremic syndrome.

[Experience of an interdisciplinary anesthesiology and nursing team for providing anesthesia outside the operating room].
To report on the creation and development of an interdisciplinary anesthesiology and nursing team to provide anesthesia outside the operating room. ⋯ The creation of an interdisciplinary team of anesthesiologists and specialized nurses for providing anesthesia outside the operating room optimizes resources and improves routine clinical practice. It has allowed for universal preanesthesia evaluation, improved the distribution of resources, and proven a stimulus to the care-giving process.

[Importance of monitoring neuroendoscopic intracranial pressure during anesthesia for neuroendoscopic surgery: review of 101 cases].
The aim of this study was to describe monitoring, anesthetic management, and risk factors for complications in neuroendoscopic surgery. ⋯ Neuroendoscopic surgery can causes increases in neuroendoscopic intracranial pressure that are associated with disturbances in cerebral blood flow and complications. This situation demonstrates the importance of monitoring intracranial pressure and cerebral blood flow.
