Target Controlled Infusion versus Sevoflurane/Desflurane Anesthesia for Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy: Comparison Postoperative Nausea/Vomiting and Extubation Time.
Target-controlled infusion (TCI) systems have been developed from manually controlled infusion systems and have rapidly increased in popularity, especially in laparoscopic surgery. Propofol is claimed to decrease nausea and vomiting. ⋯ Laparoscopic cholecystectomy under propofol with TCI is one option of anesthetic technique with a significantly lower incidence of PONV compared with both sevoflurane and desflurane otherwise there is no statistical difference in the extubation time. Propofol-TCI technique is suggested for laparoscopic and ambulatory surgery.

To determine the pattern of abnormal semen and its associate factor in male partners of infertile couples. ⋯ Male factor infertility shares a pivotal role in infertile couples. Combine abnormal sperm motility and morphology group was very common. Further studies need to be carried out to explore the cause of this abnormality.

The Effects of Single-Dose Preoperative Intravenous Dexamethasone on Clinical Outcome after Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy.
Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is one of the most common procedures in surgery. Post-operative pain and post- operative nausea and vomiting (PON) are frequently events after laparoscopic cholecystectomy and cause distress to patients. Dexamethasones are known for analgesic, anti-inflammatory, immune-modulating and anti-emetic effects. Therefore, preoperative dexamethasone administration may reduce postoperative pain and postoperative nausea vomiting after laparoscopic cholecystectomy. ⋯ Single-dose preoperative dexamethasone 8 mg 60-90 minute before induction of anesthesia improved clinical outcome in terms of significantly less nausea, vomiting, pain at first 6 hours and less inflammatory response after laparoscopic cholecystectomy compared to placebo. The preoperative dexamethasone should be used as routine in patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy.

Direct Field Block with 40 ML of 0.125% Bupivacaine in Conjunction with Intrathecal Morphine for Analgesia after Cesarean Section: A Randomized Controlled Trial.
To investigate the effect of direct field block with 40 ml of 0.125% bupivacaine on the top of intrathecal morphine on postoperative pain free period. ⋯ Direct field block with 40 ml of 0.125% bupivacaine in conjunction with intrathecal morphine for cesarean section did not increase pain free period or decrease morphine consumption.

The Treatment of Flexion Myelopathy of the Thoracic Spine in Pierre Robin Sequence: A Case Report.
A few studies had reported the spinal deformity associated with neurological symptoms in PRS patients. ⋯ Myelopathy from flexible kyphotic deformity in PRS patients can be successfully treated by posterior correction and fusion without decompression.
