Multicenter Study Observational Study[THE EFFICACY AND SAFETY OF DEXMEDETOMIDINE FOR SEDATION OF PATIENTS DURING PROLONGED MECHANICAL VENTILATION IN INTENSIVE CARE UNITS (RUSSIAN MULTICENTER STUDY RESULTS)].
A multicenter prospective study investigated the efficacy and safety dexmedetomidine of sedation in 103 patients during long-term (> 12 h) mechanical ventilation and in cases of delirium. Protocol of sedation included intravenous infusions of dexmedetomidine 1.4/kg/h and administering of analgesic drugs, and if necessary--sedative drugs (propofol, midazolam). Group 1 included 69 patients in whom dexmedetomidine sedation was performed for prolonged mechanical ventilation. ⋯ The infusion of dexmedetomidine can provide a target level of sedation for RASS from 0 to -3 at 80-90% of patients with surgical and therapeutic profile who underwent prolonged mechanical ventilation. The frequency of adverse events appeared due to the development of bradycardia, hypotension. In the use of dexmedetomidine bolus injection should be avoided.

Multicenter Study Observational Study[RUSSIAN NATIONAL EPIDEMIOLOGICAL STUDY "RUVENT": THE USE OF ARTIFICIAL LUNG VENTILATION IN THE INTENSIVE THERAPY IN CHILDREN].
Purpose of this part of the "RuVent" research is to study the real use of the various modes and parameters of prolonged respiratory support in children in Russia. ⋯ The results of the Russian national epidemiological study of the use of mechanical ventilation in the Intensive care unit ("RuVent") showed comparable data with real international clinical practice. The researchers noted significant differences during prolonged mechanical ventilation in children compared with adult patients.

Multicenter Study["Evidance"--Russian national epidemiological study].
The article deals with results of epidemiological study of 2516 ICU patients received prophylaxis of a deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and venous thromboembolic complications (VTEC). ⋯ An analysis of drugs for prophylaxis of DVT and VTEC which were used in patients with ARF showed that the prophylaxis was performed without a taking in account a significance of such complication.

Multicenter Study[Effect of preoperative infusion volume on frequency of intraoperative nausea and vomiting as complications of spinal anaesthesia in pregnant women during caesarian operation (pilot study)].
Purpose of the study was to define a prophylactic effect of different preload volumes on the rate of intraoperative nausea and vomiting (IONV) as a complication due to spinal anaesthesia (SA) during caesarian operation (SO) in parturient. Data for analysis was collected during clinical observational multi-center research included several medical centers. ⋯ The results suppose that preload is effective method of IONV prophylactics in parturient during SO under SA if only infused preload volumes do not break specially determined limits of effective interval. If preload volume value is out of this range then preinfusion may lead to increasing risk of IONV occurrence.

Multicenter Study[Are we controlling the sedation in ICU? A multicenter study results].
The aim of this study is to evaluate the issues of sedation and analgesia in all-purpose ICUs in Russia. To obtain that, a single-day observational survey was performed in 55 ICUs of Ural and Siberia regions. ⋯ Sedation indications do not satisfy the modern concept, sedation level evaluation scores are used only in 13%, schemes and drugs are traditional. The results of this study may serve as a reason for discussion of necessity of introducing of sedative and analgetic therapy in ICU standarts.
