Meta AnalysisEffect of dietary fiber on constipation: a meta analysis.
To investigate the effect of dietary fiber intake on constipation by a meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs). ⋯ Dietary fiber intake can obviously increase stool frequency in patients with constipation. It does not obviously improve stool consistency, treatment success, laxative use and painful defecation.

Age-related symptom and life quality changes in women with irritable bowel syndrome.
To explore age-related changes in symptoms and quality of life (QoL) of women with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). ⋯ Factors affecting QoL should always be treated in IBS, especially emotional problems in young adults. Even mild abdominal pain should be controlled in elderly patients.

Impact of intestinal ischemia/reperfusion and lymph drainage on distant organs in rats.
To investigate the impact of intestinal ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury and lymph drainage on distant organs in rats. ⋯ Lymph drainage could block the "gut-lymph" pathway, improve intestinal barrier function, and attenuate distant organ injury incurred by intestinal I/R.

To evaluate the results of hepatic resection with ex-situ hypothermic perfusion and without veno-venous bypass. ⋯ Ex-situ liver resection and liver autotransplantation has shown a potential for treatment of complicated hepatic neoplasms that are unresectable by traditional procedures.

Meta AnalysisHighlights for α-fetoprotein in determining prognosis and treatment monitoring for hepatocellular carcinoma.
To explore the prognostic value in the monitoring of treatment efficacy of serial α-fetoprotein (AFP) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients. ⋯ HCC patients presenting with an AFP response are at decreased risk of mortality. In addition, patients with an AFP response also present with a higher overall response rate and disease control rate.
